RSS Karyakartas celebrate Vijayadashami Utsav with disciplined Path Sanchalan in JNU
New Delhi: The Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU) unit of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) organised a Path Sanchalan on Saturday, October 17, 2026, on the occasion of Vijayadashami Utsav.
RSS karyakartas participated in the programme in full uniform which is known as Ganvesh and took part in the march, demonstrating discipline, organisational unity and a spirit of collective participation.
The Vijayadashami utsav holds a special place in Indian cultural tradition and is associated with the victory of righteousness over evil, truth over falsehood and courage over adversity. For the RSS, the occasion also serves as an opportunity to reaffirm its commitment to national service, social harmony and constructive participation in society.
The Path Sanchalan organised on the JNU campus sought to convey a message of disciplined living, national service and organisational commitment.
Such marches have traditionally been an important part of RSS activities during Vijayadashami celebrations. The participation of volunteers in uniform reflects the organisation’s emphasis on discipline, collective consciousness and a sense of responsibility towards society and the nation.
The JNU programme also provided an occasion for volunteers to reiterate their commitment to contributing positively to social life while upholding the values associated with the festival.
Vijayadashami is regarded as an important occasion in the RSS calendar. The festival is seen as a reminder of the triumph of dharma and righteousness and provides an opportunity to reflect on one’s responsibilities towards society.
Within the RSS, Vijayadashami is also associated with the organisation’s founding day and has traditionally been marked through programmes involving volunteers, organisational activities and public outreach.
The festival encourages volunteers to renew their commitment to service, social responsibility and the larger national interest.
The RSS maintains that its organisational objective is to contribute to nation-building through individual development and social engagement. It places emphasis on discipline, service, social responsibility, national consciousness and social harmony.
The Path Sanchalan at JNU was organised in keeping with these themes, with volunteers presenting a coordinated and disciplined display during the march.
The event underscored the message that individual development and collective responsibility are essential components of a healthy and cohesive society.
The Vijayadashami Utsav celebration at JNU thus served as an occasion for RSS volunteers to reaffirm their commitment to discipline, service, social harmony and the broader objective of contributing positively to national life.
