The IBPS SO Prelims Result 2026 is expected soon at ibps.in ahead of the November 1 Mains exam
NEW DELHI: When will the IBPS SO Prelims Result 2026 be declared? This is the question on the minds of candidates who appeared for the Specialist Officer exam on August 29. The Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS) has not shared a result date so far. However, candidates can expect the result of IBPS SO Prelims 2026 anytime soon, as the mains exam is scheduled for November 1, 2026. Once prelims results are out, candidates will have to visit ibps.in to check their qualifying status.
The exam was held under the Common Recruitment Process for Specialist Officers (CRP SPL-XVI). To check their results, candidates should have their registration number or roll number and password or date of birth. Those who qualify will move on to the Mains examination. Candidates should avoid relying on result dates shared on social media unless IBPS confirms them. The official website is the place to look for a confirmed announcement.
Once IBPS activates the result link, candidates can follow these steps to check their qualifying status:
-Visit the official website, ibps.in.
-Click on the CRP Specialist Officers section.
-Find the link for the CRP SPL-XVI preliminary examination result.
-Open the link and enter your registration number or roll number.
-Enter your password or date of birth.
-Fill in the captcha, if required, and submit the form.
-Your IBPS SO Prelims Result 2026 will appear on the screen.
-Download it or take a printout for later use.
After checking the result, candidates should look at their qualifying status and the details displayed on the page. These may include their name, roll number, registration number and examination details. If any information appears incorrect, candidates should contact IBPS through its official support channels.
The IBPS SO Prelims scorecard will be released separately or made available as part of the result process, as announced by IBPS. While the result tells candidates whether they have qualified, the scorecard helps them understand how they performed in the exam.
It may include the marks obtained and other details related to the examination. Section-wise marks and cut-off information will depend on what IBPS provides in the scorecard. The release date has not been announced yet. Candidates can download the scorecard from ibps.in once the link becomes available. They should keep a copy for their records and use the official website rather than links shared by unknown sources.
As mentioned above, candidates who clear the prelims will appear for the IBPS SO Mains exam on November 1, 2026. The recruitment includes specialist positions such as IT Officer, Agricultural Field Officer, Rajbhasha Adhikari, Law Officer, HR/Personnel Officer and Marketing Officer.
The Mains exam covers professional knowledge related to the post. For example, an IT Officer aspirant will need to prepare for the relevant IT subjects, while a Law Officer candidate will have a different syllabus to follow. Candidates should check the official notification for the subjects and exam pattern applicable to their post.
As of now, IBPS has not announced the date for the IBPS SO Prelims Result 2026. Candidates should check ibps.in for the result notice and scorecard link. Until IBPS publishes an update, the result date remains unconfirmed.
With the Mains exam scheduled for November 1, candidates can use the waiting period to revise their subjects and keep their login details ready for the result announcement.
