DEHRADUN: A disturbing case in Dehradun has triggered outrage after a gym owner identified as Mohammad Armaan was allegedly accused of posing as a Hindu girl’s brother to gain her trust, getting a rakhi tied by her and subsequently using private videos to allegedly blackmail her into physical relations.

According to the allegations, Armaan allegedly cultivated the girl’s confidence by presenting himself as her brother before the relationship took a darker turn. He is accused of secretly recording private moments and later using the videos as leverage to allegedly pressure the woman into unwanted physical relations.
The case has also triggered controversy over allegations that the accused made objectionable remarks about Hindu deities. Members of the Bajrang Dal, after reportedly receiving information about the alleged conduct, confronted the accused and handed him over to the police.
