Bhagwan Sahay, Sah Sangathan Mantri of Akhil Bharatiya Vanvasi Kalyan Ashram, addressing the gathering at IGNCA to mark release of Janajati Sanskritik Samagam Special Issue, which highlighted contributions of Janjatiya heroes
“The forests of Bharat have been centres of knowledge and science since ancient times, while social harmony has remained the ideal of Bharatiya society,” said Bhagwan Sahay, Sah Sangathan Mantri of the Akhil Bharatiya Vanvasi Kalyan Ashram at the release of the Janajati Sanskritik Samagam Special Issue published by Vanvasi Kalyan Ashram (VKA) and Van Bandhu Media Foundation at the Samvet Auditorium of Indira Gandhi National Centre for the Arts in New Delhi on September 19. The special issue brings together various aspects of the Janajati Sanskritik Samagam, major speeches delivered during the event, and articles on the lives and contributions of prominent figures of the Janajatiya society.
Addressing the gathering, Bhagwan Sahay said that the forests of Bharat had been centres of knowledge and science since ancient times and that social harmony had been the ideal of Bharatiya society. He noted that the Janajatiya society had experienced a long struggle. Being distanced from its glorious history had also resulted in a state of self-forgetfulness within the community. In such circumstances, he stressed the need to acquaint the Janajatiya society with its glorious history, traditions and the contributions of its great personalities.
Recalling Vanayogi Balasaheb Deshpande, he remarked that reminding the Janajatiya society of its glorious history would strengthen its sense of confidence and self-respect. He stated that Vanvasi Kalyan Ashram had been continuously working with the objective of ‘Awakened Janajatiyas, Strong Bharat’. Along with working for personality building, value formation and the service of Dharma, the Ashram was also committed to preserving the sanskriti, traditions and life values of the Janajatiya society.
On the occasion, Union Minister of State for Tribal Affairs Durgadas Uikey said that the sustained efforts of Vanvasi Kalyan Ashram had contributed to the successful conclusion of the grand Janajati Sanskritik Samagam in Delhi. He also referred to the issue of religious conversion among the society and emphasised the preservation of its sanskriti, faith and traditions.
Referring to Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s resolve to build a developed Bharat by 2047, Uikey stated that Bharat’s progress would not be limited to the material sphere but would also take place at the intellectual and sanskritik levels. He added that Vanvasi Kalyan Ashram was also continuously making efforts at its level towards achieving this goal while strengthening the unity and integrity of the country.
Uikey appreciated the effort to compile the ideas, experiences and achievements of the Janajati Sanskritik Samagam in the form of the special issue and expressed gratitude to all those associated with its publication.
