NEW DELHI: Aspirants who want to explore options beyond the UPSC Civil Services Examination have another recruitment opportunity to look at this time as the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has announced direct recruitment for 212 vacancies across different posts and departments through Advertisement No. 11/2026. The posts such as Assistant Public Prosecutor, Specialist Grade III Assistant Professor, Assistant Editor and several other specialist positions are included. Applications will open on September 12, 2026. The deadline, however, is not the same for every post. Candidates applying for posts other than those under the UT of Ladakh can submit their forms until October 2, while the deadline for Ladakh posts is October 9.

UPSC Recruitment 2026: Detailed Advertisement

The detailed UPSC advertisement No. 11/2026 is available on the Commission’s official website. The advertisement carries post-wise information on qualifications, work experience, age limits and other eligibility conditions.

Eligibility criteria varies according to the post applied for. The notification specifies all details related to the qualification, experience and other conditions applicable to each vacancy. Thus, candidates can go through the details of the post they have selected.

Where and How to apply?

UPSC application forms can be filled only in online mode. Candidates who meet the eligibility requirements can submit their applications through the UPSC Online Application Portal after registration. To register or create an account, simply add details like email ID, mobile number. Once done, proceed to fill the application form. It is advisable that candidates should read all the instructions carefully before registration and application form filling.

Ladakh posts have a separate deadline

Candidates applying for posts under the UT of Ladakh will get a little more time to submit their forms. While the deadline for most posts in the recruitment drive is October 2, 2026, those applying for Ladakh posts can submit their applications until October 9, 2026.
