NEW DELHI: The Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) expresses its grief over the demise of renowned social worker Shri Nandkishore Goenka ji.
“He remained active throughout his life in various social service activities, including cow service (Goseva). It is our heartfelt prayer to God that He grants salvation to his departed soul and provides strength to the entire Goenka family and all his affectionate friends and well-wishers in this hour of grief. Om Shanti”, reads the statement released by RSS.
Nandkishore Goenka was a renowned social worker known for his lifelong commitment to social service and community welfare. He remained actively involved in various philanthropic activities, with a special dedication towards Goseva (service and protection of cows). Through his efforts, he contributed to promoting compassion, service, and social responsibility among people. Associated with social and cultural initiatives, Goenka was respected for his simplicity, dedication, and commitment to serving society. His life reflected the values of selfless service, concern for living beings, and a spirit of collective welfare.
Notably, he is father of the Essel Group Chairman Dr Subhash Chandra.
His contributions to social causes earned him recognition among those working in the fields of community service and cultural activities. The Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) expressed deep grief over his demise, remembering his lifelong dedication to Goseva and other social works. His passing is considered a loss for the social service community, and condolences have been conveyed to his family, friends, and well-wishers.
Born on September 28, 1930, and known to many simply as “Shri Nand Kishore,” he was remembered as a man devoted to community and nation. Dr Subhash Chandra described his father’s 96 years as full of social service, cow welfare work, and national service as an RSS swayamsevak. He was a witness to and participant in the growth of the Essel Group across generations. He made tireless efforts to unite the Vaishya community. He also played a major role in the development of Agroha, the capital of Maharaja Agrasen, and the Agrasen merchants.
