Jaipur: Women in Bharat have traditionally been empowered, and the need of the hour is to provide them with greater opportunities, said Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh’s Akhil Bharatiya Sampark Pramukh, Ramlal ji while addressing a ‘Pramukh Jan Goshti’ organised by Marudhara Nari Sashaktikaran Sangathan (MANSA), Jaipur Mahanagar, at the Humanities Auditorium of Rajasthan University on April 3.
He said that God has endowed women with more qualities than men, and that any responsibility handled by women is carried out with seriousness, concern, and dedication, increasing the likelihood of success.
He emphasised that society must work towards removing obstacles from its path.
Ramlal ji noted that women participate in large numbers in activities inspired by the Sangh. He added that the Sangh’s hundred-year journey began with neglect but has now gained widespread social support, progressing with cooperation from all sections of society. Swayamsevaks have endured bans, hardships, and persecution to carry forward the work of the Sangh. He asserted that there is no place for discrimination based on caste, language, region, or any other factor within the organisation.
He further stated that nations progress when their citizens are patriotic, and that the Sangh works to instil qualities such as patriotism, social service, and discipline among its karyakartas.
Highlighting the scientific basis of Bharatiya culture, he said that environmental conservation is inherently practised within families. He stressed that it is Matri Shakti’s responsibility to pass these values to the next generation.
He urged women to create an environment within families that promotes water conservation, tree planting, reducing plastic use, spending time together without mobile phones and the internet at least once a week, self-awareness, respect for one’s language and food, and encouraging travel within the country.
The Chief Guest, Vice-Chancellor of Kota Agricultural University, Dr Vimla Doonkwal, said that, inspired by Veer Mata Jijabai, women must work to revive awareness of society’s forgotten strength and pride.
Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh’s Kshetra Sanghchalak Ramesh Chandra Agrawal was also present. Dr Sunita Agrawal, President of Marudhara Nari Sashaktikaran Sangathan, Rajasthan, stated that the programme was organised to engage with influential women in society and advance the resolve to build an organised, capable, and prosperous Bharat.
