SHIMLA: On March 28, 2025, RSS Sarkaryavah Dattatreya Hosabale paid a courtesy call on His Holiness the Dalai Lama and later visited the Tibetan Parliament-in-Exile on the first day of his visit to Himachal Pradesh.
He subsequently attended a Dharma Sammelan organised by Dev Bhoomi Maitri Sangh at a community hall in Kotwali Bazaar.
Addressing the gathering, Dattatreya Hosabale stated that as taught by Tathagata Buddha, “Esha Dharma Sanatana” — Dharma is eternal and rooted in nature. He emphasised that service to humanity is true Dharma, founded on purity, compassion, penance, and sacrifice.
He noted that all great personalities have, from time to time, dedicated their lives for the protection and establishment of Dharma. Recalling Guru Tegh Bahadur’s supreme sacrifice for Dharma, he added that the Dalai Lama continues to spread the message of peace across the world, and urged all to walk on the path of Dharma.
He urged that society remain united, with a spirit of mutual cooperation, and that individuals work with a sense of commitment to the nation. He stated that the path shown by the Sangh for social transformation calls for collective participation, in which everyone joins together and cooperates to make this mission successful and meaningful.
The conference was attended by the 7th Ling Rinpoche as the chief guest and was organised to mark the 90th birth year of the Dalai Lama and the centenary year of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh.
