The gathering took place at around 10 p.m. at the residence of Jam Singh Kanas and was attended by several Hindu villagers from the area.
According to the victim, Anil Solanki, he was brought to the prayer meeting after being promised a sum of one lakh rupees. He further stated that others present at the gathering were told they would receive cures for illnesses, healing of bones, and assistance in having children. Anil Solanki is the only individual named in available reports, though multiple villagers were present at the meeting.
The prayer meeting was organised at the house of Jam Singh Kanas. Vishwa Hindu Parishad workers reached the location after receiving information about the gathering and objected to it, alleging that inducements were being used to influence religious conversion. During the protest, religious literature was found at the premises and was confiscated.
2. Elderly Hindu Man Dies After Being Pushed During Land Dispute in Kurigram, Bangladesh

Realising she had been deceived, she contacted acquaintances and informed the police. Soon after, the accused stopped responding to her calls.
Police investigation revealed that the accused worked at a clothing store in Patna and allegedly used fake social media profiles and forged identity documents to pose as a Hindu railway employee. Officers stated that he contacted several Hindu women, including women from tribal communities, promising marriage and exploiting their trust for personal and financial gain. Digital evidence recovered from his mobile phone showed conversations and photographs of multiple women, indicating a repeated pattern. In one instance, he allegedly defrauded a woman employed at a microfinance company of Rs 54,000. Police also confirmed that another woman had been taken to the same hotel by the accused earlier in January.
6. Kali Temple Vandalised in Begusarai, Idols Desecrated and Religious Items Burnt
A Hindu temple dedicated to Goddess Kali was vandalised in Begusarai district of Bihar, where miscreants desecrated idols, looted valuables, and set religious items on fire. According to the posts shared on the party’s official Facebook page, beef was thrown inside the Shampur Ramnagar Mahamaya temple building and three other nearby temples. In Gurugram, police have registered a case and arrested two individuals following a complaint by a 24-year-old woman alleging false identity, coercion, and pressure to change religion. The main accused, identified as Muslim man Arif Khan, reportedly presented himself as “Arav” and married the woman under the belief that he was unmarried.
According to the complaint, the marriage was solemnised in a Hindu temple according to Hindu customs. The woman later discovered that the accused was previously married with three children. She alleged that the accused and his family pressured her to adopt Islam and renamed her Zia Khan.
The complaint also stated that when the woman became pregnant, the accused allegedly pressured her to undergo an abortion and threatened to circulate private videos. The pregnancy continued, and she gave birth to a son on 11 August 2023 at a private hospital. After the birth, the pressure to convert reportedly continued.
The woman claimed that on 26 January, the accused and his family forcibly entered her rented accommodation, assaulted her, and again pressured her to change religion. She later approached the police with the help of social workers.

The victims included Sayak Chakraborty and his two friends, one male and one female. They were adults and belonged to the general Hindu community. The accused waiter was identified as a Muslim male. On 29 January, at least 25 construction workers were killed in an ambush in Sabon Gari, Borno State. In Etah, Uttar Pradesh, Asif allegedly made a minor Hindu girl wear a burqa to disguise her while taking her through a roadways area. Locals became suspicious, caught him on the spot and handed him over to the police. Hindu organisations demanded action amid “love jihad” claims, and he was also reported to be wearing a kalava to deceive. The accused was arrested.

37. Kanpur: Hindu Man Alleges Assault and Pressure to Convert; FIR Registered
Kanpur police registered an FIR on 30 January against a woman, Saniya, and her parents following a complaint by her Hindu husband, Vineet Kumar, alleging assault, intimidation, and pressure to convert to Islam. The FIR was lodged at Rawatpur police station in Kanpur Nagar district under Sections 115(2), 308(6), and 351(2) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita. Police stated that an investigation is underway and both sides will be questioned.
According to the complaint, Vineet Kumar is a resident of Maswanpur under the Rawatpur police station area. He stated that he married Saniya on 6 November 2023 by mutual consent, with an understanding between both families that neither spouse would be forced to change religion. He alleged that this understanding was violated within months of the marriage, leading to repeated disputes.
Vineet Kumar alleged that after the birth of their son on 26 August 2025, the pressure intensified. He claimed that his wife and her parents insisted on his conversion to Islam and on circumcision of their infant son. He further alleged that his refusal led to threats that he would be falsely implicated in serious criminal cases.
In his complaint, Vineet Kumar also accused his wife of physically assaulting him during arguments related to religion and the child. He alleged that on the night of 16 January 2026, Saniya left the matrimonial home with the help of her mother at around 1 am, taking ₹5,000 in cash, gold jewellery including a ring, anklets and a chain, along with other clothes and valuables. He stated that subsequent phone calls from her included threats that she would stop only after sending him and his family to jail.
The FIR names Saniya, her father Intazar, and her mother as accused. Police officials confirmed that the complaint has been formally registered and that further action will depend on the findings of the investigation.

Another social media post dated 01 February 2026 reported that Shafiq and his relatives allegedly attacked Radha Devi and her family in Basti, Uttar Pradesh, over a dispute related to a bonfire burning site. According to the post, the dispute escalated into a physical fight in which Shafiq and others assaulted Radha Devi and her family members using kicks, fists, pushing, and beating. Radha Devi reportedly filed a complaint seeking strict action against the accused and their accomplices. The post stated that no action had been reported at the time.
40. Hindu woman allegedly threatened to convert in Rajgarh, Madhya Pradesh
A separate social media post stated that Mohd Raja allegedly threatened a Hindu woman in Rajgarh, Madhya Pradesh, saying, “Convert to Islam or I will kill you and your family.” The post claimed that he harassed the woman for 15 days through obscene comments, knocking on her door, and throwing stones at her house. It further stated that two days earlier, he stalked her to a mandir and issued the threat. According to the post, the woman filed a complaint and Mohd Raja was arrested.
The incidents between January 26 and February 1, 2026, reflect a worrying pattern of targeted attacks against Hindus involving coercion, deception, and desecration.
