NEW DELHI: The two-day Central Working Committee (CWC) meeting of the Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) was successfully concluded at Shri Damodar Institute, Jambavali, Goa. A total of 106 key functionaries from across the country were to participate in the meeting. During the deliberations, extensive discussions were held on important issues related to education, society, organisations, the environment, culture, sports, and service, and a detailed plan of action for future initiatives was prepared.

Along with an in-depth discussion on the prevailing educational, national, and social scenario, the meeting deliberated on the theme, structure, and framework of the Organisational Vichar baithak 2026, reviewed the 71st National Conference (2025–26), and finalised the upcoming action plan for the follow-up of various student-related issues.

Detailed discussions were held and a comprehensive action plan was formulated for programmes to be organised on the occasion of the Centenary Year of the Sangh; the 150th birth anniversary of Bhagwan Birsa Munda; the 500th year of the coronation of Maharani Abbakka; the 350th martyrdom anniversary of Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji; the birth centenary of Yashwantrao Kelkar; 150 years of Vande Mataram; 450 years of the Battle of Haldighati; the 150th birth anniversary of Sardar Patel; the birth centenary of Bhupen Hazarika; the birth centenary of Atal Bihari Vajpayee; and 60 years of Integral Humanism.

Special deliberations were held on education-related issues during the meeting. Serious concerns such as irregularities prevailing in educational campuses across the country and unethical fee hikes were discussed in detail. Additionally, the division of responsibilities and a detailed roadmap were finalised for the ‘Screen Time to Activity Time’ campaign initiated by the National General Secretary of ABVP on the occasion of National Youth Day, as well as for the nationwide ‘Hostel Survey Campaign’ to be conducted in February.

National President of ABVP, Prof. Raghuraj Kishore Tiwari, stated,“The Central Working Committee meeting of ABVP has concluded with a focus on making organisational work more effective. Meaningful discussions were held on several important educational, social, environmental and other issues. This meeting holds significant importance in ABVP’s distinctive working methodology of shaping karyakartas into aware citizens contributing to nation-building.”

National General Secretary of ABVP, Dr Virendra Singh Solanki, stated, “During the Central Working Committee meeting, key ABVP functionaries from across the country conducted a comprehensive review of campaigns and programmes carried out over the past three to four months and deliberated deeply on the forthcoming action plan. From February onwards, the ‘Hostel Survey Campaign’ will be conducted at the national level, through which ground realities will be brought forth to ensure concrete and effective measures. Through the ‘Screen Time to Activity Time’ campaign initiated on the occasion of National Youth Day, efforts are being made to free the youth from digital addiction and connect them with sports, social service, creative and physical activities. This campaign will prove to be a significant initiative towards the holistic development of youth.

Furthermore, through historic occasions such as the 350th martyrdom anniversary of Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji, the 500th year of the coronation of Maharani Abbakka, the 150th birth anniversary of Bhagwan Birsa Munda, 150 years of Vande Mataram and the Centenary Year of the Sangh, students will be further strengthened with a sense of national consciousness, social awareness and cultural pride. Along with this, various programmes will be organised under the birth centenary of Yashwantrao Kelkar, the 450th anniversary of the Battle of Haldighati, the 150th birth anniversary of Sardar Patel, the birth centenary of Bhupen Hazarika, and the 60th anniversary of Integral Humanism, and organisational work will be carried out in a more effective manner. This Central Working Committee meeting of ABVP will prove to be a milestone in the direction of the holistic development of education, culture, society and the organisation.”
