The National Investigation Agency (NIA) today carried out searches at multiple locations in J&K and Uttar Pradesh in connection with the Delhi car bomb blast case.

A spokesperson for the anti-terror agency stated that digital devices and other incriminating materials were seized during the operations at the premises of several accused and suspects in both states.

The NIA searched eight locations across Shopian, Kulgam, and Pulwama districts in J&K, as well as one site in Lucknow. These operations form part of a large-scale investigation following the Delhi blast. This marks the second raid on the premises of the main accused within a week.

“On November 26 and 27, the NIA carried out extensive searches at the premises of the prime accused, Dr. Muzammil Shakeel Ganie and Dr. Shaheen Saeed, within the Al Falah University complex and other locations in Faridabad, Haryana. A large quantity of cash, foreign currency, gold, and other incriminating materials were seized during the raids, which are now being thoroughly examined to uncover the conspiracy behind the bombing,” the NIA said.

So far, the anti-terror agency has arrested seven key suspects. “The NIA teams are questioning the arrested individuals while continuing to follow multiple leads related to the November 10 blast outside Delhi’s Red Fort, which killed eleven people and injured several others,” the agency added.

The NIA also stated that it is working closely with various state police forces to track down and apprehend every member of the terrorist module involved in the attack.
