Patna: A day after taking oath for the record 10th time Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar on November 21 allocated the portfolios to ministers. As per the details, deputy CM Samrat Choudhary was given the charge of Home Department.
Deputy CM Vijay Kumar Sinha on the other hand has been allocated the Mines and Geology department. Sinha was also given the charge of Revenue and Land Reforms Department.
Other than the deputy CMs, Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) state unit president Dilip Jaiswal was given the charge of Industries Minister. Senior BJP leaders Mangal Pandey was made the Health Minister. Pandey was also given the charge of Law Ministry.
Meanwhile Nitin Nabin will continue as the Minister of Urban Development and Road Construction with Ramkripal Yadav getting the Agriculture Ministry.
Among the new Ministers, BJP’s Sanjay Tiger was given the charge of Labour Resource Department while Arun Shankar Prasad will be the Minister of Tourism Department. He has been also allocated the Art Culture and Youth Department.
Meanwhile Shreyasi Singh has been made the Minister of Information Technology. She was also given the charge of the Sports Ministry. Narayan Prasad was made the Minister of Disaster Management Departments with Lakhendra Paswan getting the charge of Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe Welfare Department.
From Janata Dal (United) -JDU, senior leader Bijendra Prasad Yadav has been given charge of Energy Ministry and Planning and Development. He was also given the charge of Finance Ministry, Commerce- Tax and Prohibition Excise and Registration Department.
Shrawan Kumar has been allocated the Rural Development and Transportation Department with Sunil Kumar getting the Education Ministry and Science, Technology and Technical Education Department. JDU’s Madan Sahni was given the charge of Social Welfare Department while Md. Jama Khan has been made the Minister for Minority Welfare.
Vijay Kumar Choudhary on the other hand has been allocated the Water Resource Department, Information and Public Relation, Building Construction and Parliamentary Affairs Department.

Among the two ministers of the Lok Janshakti Party (Ramvilas) – LJP (R), Sanjay Kumar Singh was allocated the Public Health Engineering Department while Sanjay Kumar was given the Sugarcane Industries Department.
Rashtriya Lok Morcha’s Deepak Prakash was given the charge of Panchayati Raj Department while Santosh Kumar Suman of the Hindustani Awam Morcha (Secular) party was allocated the Small Water Resource Department.
Earlier on November 20, JDU chief Nitish Kumar was sworn-in as Bihar’s Chief Minister for the record 10th time. The swearing-in ceremony was held at Patna’s Gandhi Maidan.
Other than Nitish Kumar, a total of 26 MLAs of the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) were also sworn-in as Ministers including 14 from BJP, 8 from JDU, 2 from LJP-R and one each from HAM(S) and RLM.
The swearing-in ceremony was also attended by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Union Home Minister Amit Shah, BJP president JP Nadda and Chief Ministers of multiple states, including Andhra Pradesh CM Chandrababu Naidu, Uttar Pradesh CM Yogi Adityanath, Assam CM Himanta Biswa Sarma, MP CM Mohan Yadav, Delhi CM Rekha Gupta, Maharashtra CM Devendra Fadnavis and other senior leaders of the NDA.

NDA registered a landslide victory in the 2025 Bihar state assembly polls, winning 202 out of the total 243 seats, with Mahagathbandhan winning only 35 seats. The assembly elections were held in two phases on November 6 and November 11 with results announced on November 14.
