Raipur: Hundreds of people have reverted to Sanatan fold in a Ghar Wapsi program held in Sarangarh of Chhattisgarh.
The event organised as Virat Hindu Sammellan (conference) on October 30 was attended by revered Sants and members of the Dharm Jagran who on the occasion stressed upon the unity for Dharma and culture.
A total of 140 people, who had embraced other religions made a return in the Sanatan Dharma at the program which was organised near Hardi Hawai Patti of Darrabhata. The gathering was attended by the locals in sizeable numbers.
The ceremony was headed by Akhil Bharatiya Ghar Wapsi Pramukh, Prabal Pratap Judev who welcomed the returnees by washing their feet.
Judev on the occasion emphasized that Sanatan is not just a religion but an excellent way of life which leads on the path of truth, love and harmony.

He dedicated the program to Baba Kartik Oraon, asserting that the latter dedicated his life protecting the culture of Janjati society and fighting for their rights.
He also praised the Ghar Wapsi campaign started by his father Dilip Singh Judev stating that it is a work related to nation building and symbolises our culture.
Another speaker at the event, Anju Baghel stressed upon the need of unity for protecting the Dharma.
The Youth of Chhattisgarh needs to be united for their Dharma and culture, she said.
Notably, the state of Chhattisgarh has long been marred by the menace of illegal conversion with tribal dominated belt of Bastar and Surguja stand most-affected.
