Ayodhya is preparing for another historic milestone with Prime Minister Narendra Modi set to hoist a 21-foot flag atop the Ram Mandir on November 25, 2025, coinciding with the auspicious festival of Ram Vivah Panchami. The event is expected to celebrate the completion of the grand temple’s construction and mark a symbolic moment for devotees across India.

“PM Modi has been invited on 25 November for the Ram Temple flag-hoisting ceremony. It will mark the completion of the construction of the Ram temple. PM has indicated that he will attend the programme,” said Nripendra Mishra, Chairman of the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Temple Construction Committee, speaking to ANI.

The flag-hoisting ceremony is anticipated to witness the presence of several senior BJP leaders along with thousands of devotees and pilgrims. The Prime Minister’s participation is being described as a historic gesture, reflecting the fulfillment of a long-held aspiration of faith and devotion for millions of Hindus.

According to Mishra, the main construction of the temple is nearly finished, with key structures including the outer walls, Sheshavatar temple, Sapta Mandapam, and the Pushkarni (holy pond) already completed.

Facilities for devotees, such as a shoe rack area, are also nearing completion and are expected to be operational by November. These preparations aim to accommodate the large influx of devotees expected during the flag-hoisting ceremony and associated festivities.

Ahead of the main event, a five-day Vedic ritual is scheduled from November 21 to 25, involving seers from Ayodhya and Kashi. These rituals will form a spiritual prelude to the grand flag-hoisting ceremony, adding religious significance to the historic occasion.

“The Prime Minister’s gesture represents the fulfillment of people’s long-held trust and devotion,” Mishra added, highlighting the cultural and spiritual importance of the event.

The flag-hoisting at the Ram Mandir is not only a landmark in the temple’s construction but also a symbolic moment for millions of devotees who have awaited the temple’s completion for decades. The ceremony is expected to reinforce the temple’s cultural and religious prominence while coinciding with Ram Vivah Panchami, adding spiritual resonance to the historic occasion.
