Indian star cricketer Ravindra Jadeja on October 14 shared a post for Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) on its centenary year, calling it a 100-year journey of rebuilding Bharat’s culture and nation and lauding the organisation’s role in shaping youth and national character.
Sharing his reflections on social media, Jadeja said his recent meeting with RSS Sarsanghchalak Dr Mohan Bhagwat left a deep impression on him.
Sharing his experiences and thoughts on the occasion of the centenary year of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS), Ravindra Jadeja wrote, “Before India’s Independence, the soul and fundamental culture of the nation were being exploited by the British and various other ideological forces. Concerned about the grave consequences of losing our culture, the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) was born. With the objective of reconstructing the nation and reviving its cultural essence, Dr Keshav Baliram Hedgewar founded the Sangh in 1925. Today, this sacred journey has completed 100 glorious years”.
“The first step of the Sangh was character building through individual development. Through daily shakhas, the movement of nurturing patriotic and dedicated youth began. Over the past century, the Sangh Parivar has made significant contributions to every sphere of society, education, health, economy, politics, and social order. The personalities shaped by the Sangh’s shakhas have played vital roles in nation-building, among whom our Prime Minister Narendra Modi stands as a example. Today, through countless projects of the Sangh, millions of swayamsevaks are dedicating their lives to the service of the nation and society”, he further wrote.

Jadeja recalled his meeting with Dr Mohan Bhagwat. “Some time ago, I had the fortune of meeting Param Pujaniya Sarsanghchalak Dr Mohan Bhagwat ji. During our discussion, his words reflected the depth of our culture, solutions to contemporary challenges, and a profound spirit of struggle and dedication. This experience further deepened my respect and reverence for the Sangh. As the Sangh completes this century-long, unbroken journey, I extend my heartfelt congratulations and best wishes to its millions of swayamsevaks. I express my deep gratitude for their unwavering dedication and invaluable contribution to the nation”, he wrote.
