London, October 7, 2025: In a spectacular celebration of devotion, culture, and community spirit, “London ki Ram Leela 2025” lit up the grand Fairfield Halls Concert Theatre, Croydon on 5 October 2025, drawing thunderous applause from audiences and dignitaries alike.

Produced and directed by Mr. Praveen Kumar under the banner of Sutton Friends, the production brought the timeless epic of Maryada Purushottam Shri Ram to life with modern stagecraft, vibrant LED backdrops, live narration, and powerful performances.

The event featured more than 35 talented actors and over 150 volunteers, many of whom are working professionals and homemakers who came together purely out of devotion and love for Indian heritage. The makeup and costume department, led by community contributors Apeksha Gandhi, Pinki Kumar, Malti Singh, Vaishali Singh, Richa and others, received special appreciation for their creativity and dedication.

A Stellar Team Effort

Praveen Kumar was ably supported by his production team — Anup Kabra, Rohit Malik, Manish Sahal, Ashish Aggarwal, Abhinav Pathak, Sachin Shelke, Anjani Kumar, Manish Gupta, Ruschil Aggarwal, Sidharth Pandhi, and Dhaval Thakkar. Their months of hard work and coordination were visible on stage, delivering a visual and emotional “wow” factor that mesmerized the audience.

Dignitaries in Attendance

The grandeur of the event attracted several prominent guests and public figures, including:

MP Luke Taylor

MP Bobby Dean

Vasudev Devnani, Speaker of the Rajasthan Legislative Assembly (India)

Berry Lewis, Leader of the Liberal Democrats, London Region

Councillor Richard Chatterjee

Dr. Kuldeep Shekhawat, OFBJP UK

Hirdesh Gupta – IDUK (Indian Diaspora in the UK)

Aditya Pratap Singh – Global Brilliance Forum

Councillor Tushar Kumar

Ajay Thakur, Representative from the High Commission of India (London)

Manish Malhotra, Vice President & Head of Sales – Infosys

Anshul Srivastav, Senior Vice President & Head – Europe

Their presence added prestige to an evening that celebrated not just an epic story, but the spirit of Sanatan Dharma thriving in the heart of London.

A Pure Community Initiative

Unlike commercial productions, London ki Ram Leela is a completely community-driven and non-profit effort, organized by the community, for the community. Families, youth, and elders contributed time, talent, and resources to make the show possible — a shining example of cultural unity and volunteerism abroad.

A Cultural Triumph

From the Sita Swayamvar sequence to the Lanka Dahan, every scene was crafted with devotion and visual excellence. The audience witnessed a fusion of traditional Indian storytelling with contemporary stage technology — reaffirming that Ram Leela remains not just a performance, but a living expression of faith, ethics, and culture.
