Guwahati: Tripura Royal scion and Tipra Motha founder Pradyut Bikram Mnikya Debbarma said that there is no benefit of having good ties with hostile Bangladesh. Speaking to the media in Kokrajhar, Debbarma said, “ break Bangladesh and take back Chittagong. What is the benefit of playing cricket with them when our national security is at risk. Take over Chittagong hill port and block whatever anti Indian theory is going on there. If we don’t hit them hard they will take us lightly. There is no need to talk with Bangladesh.”
He further said that like there is no Tiprasa CM in Tripura there will no indigenous CM in Assam in next 15 years. Bangladeshi will be CM of Assam in next 15 years.
Only for votebank politics Assam lost its identity and land. For the same reason Assam will have a non local non Assamese speaking CM soon. It’s not about BJP, Congress and AGP etc. It’s about the identity and protection of the local communities. Party comes second, protection of political, cultural identity and linguistic identity of the local communities comes first, he said.
Only politics will not safeguard it, the land, the state must be protected first. There should be a political will amongst the Assamese people to stop the Bangladeshi. But there is a lack of unity amongst the Assamese society in the name of party line. So in next 10-15 years a Bangladeshi will be Assam’s CM. He questioned, “ for the last 75 years you have been supporting parties, you got the party affiliation but you lost your land. So what is the benefit? First think about your community, safeguard it then everything will follow. If your identity is lost then what is the meaning of supporting a party.” He further said that he spoke to Assam CM Himanta Biswa Sarma, union minister Sarbanand Sonowal and Assam Congress president MP Gaurav Gogoi. “ All I asked them to work on to safeguard the identity of the community first, the party will always remain next to it.”
Debbarma was in Assam to attend the swearing in ceremony of the BTC council in Kokrajhar on 5th October. Regional party BPF led by Hagrama Mohilary sworn in as the Chief Executive Member of BTC after a splendid win in the recently concluded election.
