NEW DELHI: On October 2, 2025, former Indian cricketer Kedar Jadhav participated in the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh’s (RSS) Vijayadashmi Utsav and took part in the Path Sanchalan. He also shared pictures on Instagram in full Sangh uniform (Ganvesh).
Posting on Instagram, Jadhav wrote, “namaste sadā vatsale mātṛbhūme tvayā hindubhūme sukhaṁ vardhitoham, considering discipline, order and love for the nation as the goal of life, the world’s largest voluntary organisation, the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh, today completes its centenary year.”
He further added, “Salutations to this organisation which has been imparting the spirit of nationalism, shaping lakhs of swayamsevaks and continuously working for the upliftment of nation and society through selfless service…!! On the occasion of the Sangh’s centenary Vijayadashmi celebrations, heartfelt greetings to fellow swayamsevaks across the globe… Vande Mataram.”
Notably, Kedar Jadhav made his international debut in 2014 and had announced retirement from all formats of cricket in June last year through social media.
Jadhav made his international debut on November 16, 2014, against Sri Lanka at Ranchi. In his career of 73 ODIs, he scored 1389 runs at an average of 42.09, including two centuries and six half-centuries. He also claimed 27 wickets. In T20 Internationals, Jadhav played nine matches, scoring 58 runs at a strike rate of 123.23.
In the IPL, Jadhav represented Chennai Super Kings and Sunrisers Hyderabad. Under the captaincy of Mahendra Singh Dhoni, he delivered remarkable performances for CSK. Across 95 IPL matches, he scored 1196 runs at a strike rate of 123.17, including four half-centuries.
