New Delhi: Bharatiya Janata Party [BJP], on September 25, made key appointments for the upcoming assembly polls of multiple states.
The BJP president J.P Nadda on Thursday appointed Union Minister Dharmendra Pradhan as the party’s election in-charge for the upcoming Bihar assembly polls.
The party also appointed Union Minister C.R Patil and Uttar Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Keshav Prasad Maurya as co-incharge for the upcoming polls in Bihar.

The BJP president also appointed party’s vice president Baijayant Panda as election in-charge and Murlidhar Mohol as co-incharge for the Tamil Nādu assembly polls.
For West Bengal, the party has appointed senior leader Bhupendra Yadav as in-charge of the elections while former Tripura Chief Minister was made the election co-incharge.
Both West Bengal and Tamil Nādu will hold assembly polls in 2026, while the dates for Bihar assembly polls are likely to be announced in the first week of October.
BJP will be eyeing to improve its performance in both West Bengal and Tamilnadu where it is in opposition, where in Bihar it will be hoping for a smooth return to power.
Polls for the 243 assembly constituencies in Bihar is expected to be held in October-November this year, with BJP-JDU led NDA alliance locking horns with Congress-RJD led Mahagathbandhan [Grand Alliance].
