ABVP secures historic mandate in DUSU elections: Gen-Z rejects ‘Tukde-Tukde’ politics, backs nation-building agenda

ABVP swept the Delhi University Students’ Union elections, winning the President, Secretary, and Joint Secretary posts with record margins, marking a major setback for Congress-backed NSUI. The victory, hailed as historic, reflects Gen-Z’s rejection of divisive politics and endorsement of ABVP’s nation-building agenda

The Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) swept the Delhi University Students’ Union (DUSU) elections, securing three key positions on the central panel, including the powerful post of President. The victory has been hailed as a historic defeat for divisive politics and an emphatic endorsement of constructive nation-building by India’s Gen-Z voters.

Aryan Mann of ABVP clinched the DUSU Presidential position with a margin of 16,196 votes, marking the second-largest victory in the history of the DUSU President’s post. Alongside him, Kunal Chaudhary won the Secretary’s position with a margin of 7,662 votes, while Deepika Jha emerged victorious as Joint Secretary with a margin of 4,445 votes.

“This victory is not just about numbers; it reflects the patriotic consciousness of today’s generation,” declared Aryan Mann. “Delhi University students have sent a clear message—they will firmly reject those who promote anti-national activities, corruption, and nepotism. Gen-Z has voted for patriotism, transparency, and honesty.”

Mann also promised to swiftly address student-centric issues, including metro concession passes and much-needed infrastructure upgrades.

Dr. Virendra Singh Solanki, National General Secretary of ABVP, described the victory as proof that the “ideology of democracy and nation-first politics” resonates strongly with students. He emphasized that ABVP has consistently raised real educational concerns and given voice to youth aspirations, in stark contrast to Congress and NSUI, which he accused of attempting to “mislead and divide students on caste lines.”

Kunal Chaudhary, the newly elected Secretary, noted that the results show students are “rising above illusions and deception” to embrace the politics of unity and national interest. “This is a rejection of corruption and opportunism, and a clear acceptance of politics rooted in student welfare and transparency,” he asserted.

Deepika Jha, who continued ABVP’s winning streak among women candidates in DUSU, stressed that her victory represents the trust placed by female students in ABVP’s leadership. “This is not only my personal achievement but also a reflection of how ABVP has consistently empowered women candidates in Delhi University,” she said.

Meanwhile, Govind Tanwar, ABVP’s candidate for Vice President, respected the students’ verdict and reiterated that the elected panel members will serve as the true voice of DU’s student body.

The outcome of the elections signals a broader generational shift in campus politics—where students overwhelmingly rejected the “Tukde-Tukde gang” and endorsed ABVP’s vision of constructive nation-building, transparency, and student-centric governance.
