Raipur: Chhattisgarh police have registered a case against two individuals in connection with a dispute related to hoisting of Bhagwa Dhwaj in Manchadur village of Durg.
As per reports, an FIR has been filed against Aslam Khan and one more person under various section of Bharatiya Nyay Sanhita [BNS] in connection with the case.
Action has also been taken against two policemen including head constable Mahesh Devangan and constable Ramkrishna Das who have already been line attached after an alleged video of the incident goes viral.
The case relates to a dispute that arises after army jawan Kaushal Nishad hoisted a Bhagwa Dhwaj on top of his house on occasion of Eid-Milad-Un-Nabi in Manchadur village.
Two policemen however reached the village and asked the jawan to remove the flag to which he refused. This led to an altercation between the policemen and the army jawan. In an alleged viral video of the incident, the said policemen could be seen involved in an altercation with the army jawan.
The matter got escalated after local Hindu activists visited Manchadur village and staged a strong protest against the incident. They also submitted a memorandum to police, demanding strict action into the matter.

Meanwhile a team of Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha [BJYM] led by state president Rahul Tikariha on September 8 also visited Manchadur village and interacted with the family of the army jawan. The BJYM workers also hoisted flags at the locality and organized a Hanuman Chalisa Paath.
Earlier, Chhattisgarh Deputy Chief Minister Vijay Sharma on Monday also commented on the issue and said that anything against Bhartiya Sanatan principles is not good. He noted that “such incidents will not be tolerated in the state.”
