The video, published on August 25, features Gomez setting fire to the Islamic holy book while delivering inflammatory remarks. “Muslims can f*** off to any of the 57 Muslim nations. I will end Islam in Texas, so help me God,” she stated in the footage, drawing strong backlash across political and religious communities.

Valentina Gomez is running for Texas’s 31st congressional district in the US House of Representatives, covering a stretch of Central Texas from the northern Austin suburbs to Temple and Gatesville. In her campaign message, she accused Muslims of endangering Christian nations through violence and urged voters to support her in achieving what she called her mission.

While some right-wing groups praised Gomez’s video, it has drawn widespread condemnation on social media, with many labeling it as blatant bigotry.

Valentina Gomez shared the controversial video on her social media account, declaring her intent to “end Islam in Texas.”

In a post on X, she wrote: “Muslims are raping and killing as they try to take over CHRISTIAN nations. Help me get to Congress so you never have to bow down to their stupid rock.”
