Independence Day 2025 | Bharat’s righteousness unites, connects and uplifts everyone: Dr Mohan Bhagwat

Our ancestors ensured Bharat’s Independence by making supreme sacrifices… We too need to be as hardworking to keep it alive and to make the country self-confident and emerge as ‘Vishwa Guru’ to guide the world engaged in quarrel, said RSS Sarsanghchalak, Dr Mohan Bhagwat on the occasion of 79th Independence Day

“Bharat always strives to bring peace and happiness to the world and to share its Dharma with others… The reason we became independent was to ensure that everyone in our country could attain happiness, courage, security, peace, and respect”, said Rashtriya Swayamsewak Sangh Sarsanghchalak, Dr Mohan Bhagwat on the occasion of 79th Independence Day while addressing the swayamsewaks at the RSS Karyalaya in Bhubaneswar.

RSS Sarsanghchalak Dr Mohan Bhagwat hoisted the tricolour at Utkal Vipann Sahayata Samiti in Bhubaneswar.

“Today, the world is faltering. Despite many experiments over 2000 years, solutions to its problems have not yet been found. It is our duty to provide the world with a solution and create a new world filled with happiness and peace based on our vision, rooted in religious principles,” he said.

“Our ancestors ensured Bharat’s Independence by making supreme sacrifices… We too need to be as hardworking to keep it alive and to make the country self-confident and emerge as ‘Vishwa Guru’ to guide the world engaged in quarrel,” he said.

“When the system operates based on the swa, then freedom is achieved. Bharat is a unique country; it lives to give righteousness to the world. That is why the Dharma Chakra is at the center of our national flag. This righteousness unites everyone, connects everyone, and uplifts everyone. Therefore, it brings happiness to all in this world and the hereafter,” he said.

“Bharat exists to give this righteousness to the world; this is our specialty. To give this, the system must be ours. It must operate based on ‘Swa’,” he further added.
