Guwahati: Assam CM Himanta Biswa Sarma was being tried to be honey trapped during the Jharkhand election by a powerful lobby led by top police officials of the JMM-Congress ruled state. Jharkhand LoP and state BJP Babulal Marandi on August 9 accused that Assam CM Himanta Biswa Sarma was also targeted to be trapped in a fake bribery case by the same lobby. Marandi said, “During the assembly elections in Jharkhand, which senior police officer of Jharkhand had sent whom by paying money twice to Delhi and Guwahati (Assam) to try to trap the Chief Minister of Assam Himanta Biswa Ji through conspiracy? This  will be revealed very soon with proof.

Reacting to Marandi’s explosion, CM Sarma said that during the Jharkhand election two ladies came to meet him in his office in Dispur. They tried to talk with me in a suspicious tone. I doubt their intentions and send them from my office. I don’t have many details as of now. I will talk to Marandi ji tonight and will get the details.

BJP leader Marandi wrote in his X handle, “Chief Minister @HemantSorenJMM Ji, was all this despicable act happening with your knowledge or without your knowledge? You should disclose this.”

Marandi further wrote that without the knowledge of the CM a senior police officer can’t take such steps. He questioned the Jharkhand CM, “Hemant Ji, don’t you think that an officer who can dare to do such a low act and conspiracy against a person holding a high position in the country in greed for position and money, cannot he do such a low and dirty thing with you also for his own benefit when bad times come?”

By the way, let me tell you that once these people had written a detailed account of your activities and had taken up the “job” of sending more than a hundred anonymous complaint letters along with documents against you, signed by both their right and left hands.

It would be better if you get your own agencies to find out about this in detail and if you still lack information, then contact us personally and see all this with your own eyes. It is possible that after seeing all this, your eyes will open and you will not have any problem in identifying the snakes in the sleeves, Marandi wrote.
