The Indraprastha Vishva Samvad Kendra (IVSK) has opened the application window for the revered Devrishi Narad Patrakar Samman 2025. Instituted in 2010, this award is dedicated to Devrishi Narad, hailed in Hindu tradition as the universe’s first journalist and a divine scholar who exemplified fearless truth dissemination.
The Narad Jayanti awards, celebrated annually on the Dwitiya Tithi of Krishna Paksha in the Jyeshtha month as per Hindu Panchang, have grown into one of the most respected recognitions within the Indian journalistic community. These awards commemorate not only the mythological legacy of Narad Muni but also the living ethos of integrity, fearlessness, and cultural rootedness that defines Bharatiya journalism.
IVSK has called upon all journalists, writers, and columnists whose professional work is based in Delhi-NCR (covering activities within Delhi) to submit their entries. The awards pertain strictly to journalistic contributions made in the calendar year 2024. With the application deadline fast approaching only three days remain until June 20, 2025, journalists are urged to apply without delay via the official link available on the IVSK website.
This year, a total of twelve award categories have been announced, reflecting the diverse mediums and genres of modern journalism, including print, digital, television, radio, and column writing. The entries will be judged by a distinguished jury comprising senior journalists and renowned academicians, with final decisions resting solely on the panel’s discretion.
Speaking about the importance of the Narad Samman, a senior IVSK official said, “In a time when mainstream media is often guided by commercial and political compulsions, the Narad Patrakar Samman reminds us of the dharmic responsibility of journalism — to uphold truth, resist distortion, and build national consciousness.
