A command post has been established at Ranee Avenue and Flemington Road as police continue to investigate Tuesday night’s mass shooting in Toronto. Authorities have yet to release details about potential suspects.

Toronto Mayor Olivia Chow expressed concern, saying she is “disturbed” by the incident and confirmed her office is in contact with law enforcement. “I want to thank the first responders—Toronto police, fire, and paramedic services—for their work at a very busy and challenging scene,” she stated.

Speaking to reporters late Tuesday, duty senior officer B. Sarvanandan said the shooting involved multiple suspects, but there is no ongoing threat to public safety. The area remains under a heavy police presence as the investigation continues.
