Congress ambiguity on Pakistan exposed

As global experts laud India’s decisive military and technological victory over Pakistan post-Pahalgam massacre, Congress stands isolated for questioning the Army's actions and opposing strategic decisions like the Indus Water Treaty suspension

The Congress party is being cornered in war with Pakistan as time passes by. Multiple foreign experts and thinkers are applauding Indian technical prowess in the wake of the Indian strike in Pakistan in the wake of the Pahalgam massacre.

Now, foreign experts are toeing the line of Indian experts and military experts on Indian action on Pakistan. One such article, written by renowned military expert John Spencer of the United States, titled “India Won Tech War, Pak Lost as Chinese Proxy,” has been published in several Indian newspapers today. In this article, John Spencer has minutely discussed how India has registered a decisive victory over terrorism in Pakistan due to the weapons made by Indian technologies in India, including Akash and others. On the other hand, Pakistan has been completely defeated by using China’s proxy weapons. This kind of article is not only authored by John Spencer but also by many others. Currently, a positive view of and attitude towards India is prevalent in most countries.

India has created such a new atmosphere, which is a significant achievement. The entire country is also taking part in the Tiranga Yatra, saluting the flag. Everyone is praising the Army of the country.

Despite such developments in India and around the world, some Indian political parties, including the Congress, are not in line with the Indian establishment or foreign thinkers. Initially, these parties stated that they remained committed to the country’s welfare. However, this support from some parties for the country was merely a sham and a pretence. From the very beginning, the Leader of the Opposition, Rahul Gandhi, Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy, Jairam Ramesh and many senior leaders of the Congress party have questioned the bravery of the Indian Army.

This suggests that the gang is dissatisfied with India’s actions. Senior Congress leader and close aide of the Gandhi family, Jairam Ramesh, said that terrorists are roaming here and MPs are roaming on foreign soil. Jairam Ramesh presented both facts in the same style. In other words, we can say that Jairam Ramesh compared terrorists to MPs. The MPs who are travelling to different countries and strongly advocating the country’s viewpoint on Operation Sindoor have not gone out for a walk. The Congress party MPs are also part of the delegations. The Congress party MPs are also presenting the issue on the world stage in a manner that benefits the country.

If we compare the period of the United Progressive Alliance government’s tenure of 2004 to 2014, then at that time, terrorists were invited to the PMO with red carpets. The then Prime Minister Manmohan Singh used to meet terrorists on the instructions of UPA President Sonia Gandhi, and the terrorists were felicitated and given gifts.

From the first day of the warfare with Pakistan, Rahul Gandhi, Revanth Reddy, and Jairam Ramesh have been asking how many planes India has lost. In reality, the Indian Army has destroyed nine terrorist bases in Pakistan. Satellite imagery has clearly shown the extent of Pakistan’s suffering. India’s DGMO held a press conference and showed the images himself, how the Pakistani air bases were before the attack and how after the attack. The images showed every single picture of the destroyed airbases in Pakistan, where the dome fell, where their planes were destroyed, where the refilling centre was devastated and where their runways were destroyed. All these pictures were duly made public, which is proof in itself.

Pakistan’s Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif has himself acknowledged the indomitable courage and actions of the Indian Army. According to Shahbaz Sharif, we decided to attack on the night of 9 and 10 May to answer the Indian Army. Still, even before that, India attacked Pakistan’s military bases with Brahmos missiles. Earlier, Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif had stated that Noor Khan airbase was also demolished.

Initially, Congress leaders thought that we did not need war; even then, they were saying that we were on India’s side. Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah stated that fighting is not a good thing and that we should not engage in it. When India cancelled the Indus Water Treaty, which was agreed upon by the first Prime Minister, Jawaharlal Nehru, in the Pakistani city of Karachi on the occasion of the World Bank’s felicitation, senior Congress party leaders were saying that this was a matter of humanity. Based on humanity, Pakistan’s water should not be stopped. This is not a proper step. The Congress leaders are also suspicious that once the IWT issue comes to the knowledge of the common masses, the Congress party will further lose public confidence.
