With the Jawaharlal Nehru University Students’ Union (JNUSU) elections scheduled for April 25, the Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) has ramped up its outreach efforts across the campus, receiving enthusiastic support from the student community.
Determined to ensure a free, fair, and inclusive election, ABVP has launched a vigorous “room-to-room” and “class-to-class” campaign, engaging with students in hostels, classrooms, canteens, and common areas. Activists are not only encouraging students to cast their vote but also underlining the importance of active participation in the democratic process.
The student organization is highlighting its consistent involvement in key campus issues over the past six years—ranging from academic reforms, smoother admission processes, and timely exam results to improved hostel facilities, fellowships, and scholarships. ABVP leaders claim that no other group has matched their record of constructive engagement and on-ground activism.
“ABVP has rolled out an extensive campaign ahead of the polls. Our team is connecting with every student, discussing real issues, listening to their concerns, and sharing how ABVP has actively worked on key matters like better academic infrastructure, hostel facilities, scholarships, and campus safety,” said Arjun Anand, Chief Campaign Coordinator for ABVP-JNU.
Vikas Patel, Joint Secretary of ABVP Delhi, echoed the sentiment, stating that the response from students has been “overwhelmingly positive.” He added, “We’re confident that JNU will elect a strong and accountable student union this time—one that works with sincerity and purpose. Even during the COVID-19 crisis, ABVP was on-ground, extending support not just to students but also to the broader community.”
