The Hyderabad Police has issued a formal advisory to BJP MLA T. Raja Singh, urging him to take strict security precautions, including the use of a bulletproof vehicle and government-allotted security personnel, in light of frequent threats to his life.

The notice, issued by the Inspector of Police, Mangalhat Police Station, explicitly states:

“It is to alert that, you have been receiving frequent threatening calls and it is noticed that you are often leaving the residence & office without any security personnel and moving among the public, which shows negligence towards your life and safety. In this regard, you are requested to protect yourself by using Bullet Proof vehicle and inevitably utilize the (1+4) security personnel allotted by the Government to avoid untoward incidents.”

The police further requested Raja Singh’s cooperation in maintaining law and order and acknowledged the submission of the advisory to the Commissioner of Police, Hyderabad, for information.

T. Raja Singh, the firebrand BJP MLA from Goshamahal, has been at the forefront of Hyderabad’s Ram Navami celebrations for over a decade. The annual Shobha Yatra, which witnesses lakhs of devotees taking to the streets in a grand religious procession, is a major event in the city.

Since 2012, Raja Singh has played a pivotal role in leading the procession, beginning from the Akashpuri Hanuman Temple in Dhoolpet. His strong Hindutva stance has garnered massive support, particularly in the Goshamahal constituency, where he has been elected thrice as an MLA.

Sharing the invitation, BJP MLA announced that the yatra will take place on 06 April 2025, Sunday, at 10:30 AM from Akash Puri Hanuman Temple, Dhoolpet, Bhagyanagar. Calling for a massive turnout, he stated, “Let’s come together to celebrate the birth of Prabhu Shri Ram with devotion and grandeur!”

Raja Singh has been a vocal critic of the AIMIM party, often challenging the influence of its leaders in Hyderabad. He has repeatedly accused AIMIM of creating communal tensions and attempting to suppress Hindu festivals in the city.

The latest advisory by the police highlights the growing security concerns surrounding him, especially in light of the upcoming Ram Navami procession.
