It appears that the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) Kochi is infested with Jihadis and Urban Maoists. The RBI is considered a centre of the utmost high security. However, the same place provided a platform for a UAPA-accused individual. The so-called media person, K.K. Shaheena, cut the cake in connection with the International Women’s Day celebrations at the Kochi unit of the Reserve Bank of India. She is a co-accused in the infamous Bangalore Blast case, along with the Islamic terrorist Abdul Nasr Al Madani. One person was killed, and 20 were injured in the 2008 blast. She has been released on bail.

Shaheena has reportedly been masquerading as a media person to hide her Left-Jihadi identity. A person associated with Left-Jihadi forces was given a grand welcome at a Union Government institution. It is a place where unauthorised individuals are not admitted, as it is a high-security zone. Officers are not even contactable by phone and do not respond to queries from media personnel. Yet, a Jihadi-Urban Maoist individual was welcomed there. There are indications that the RBI Kochi Regional Office is being used as a forum for Left-Jihadi activities. Such a Jihadi group might have conspired to anoint a UAPA-accused individual as part of the International Women’s Day celebrations. The matter is serious, as it could not have occurred without the permission of senior officials.

Reports suggest that Shaheena refused to light the traditional lamp to inaugurate the International Women’s Day celebrations due to her religious beliefs. Instead, she cut the cake for the inauguration. RBI officers have so far refused to comment on the matter. Staff members do not connect media calls to senior officers.

The incident has invited the wrath of nationalist forces. R.V. Babu, President of Hindu Aikyavedi, told media persons that his organisation would carry out a protest march to the RBI on 17 March 2025. He said that the report would be conveyed to the Union Home Ministry and the Finance Ministry. He demanded stringent action against those responsible for the Left-Jihad presence at the RBI function.
