The Overseas Friends of BJP UK (OFBJPUK) Maharashtra Chapter, in collaboration with the UP Chapter, hosted a grand celebration in East London to commemorate the historic victory of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in Maharashtra and Uttar Pradesh. The event brought together the vibrant Maharashtrian and UP diaspora, reflecting the unity and enthusiasm of the community abroad.

The celebration, held under the visionary leadership of Shri Kuldeep Shekhawat ji and Shri Suresh Mangalagiri ji, featured a successful collaboration between the Maharashtra Chapter, led by Convener Shri Tushar Joge and his dedicated team of Santosh Parkar ji, Prashant Shirode ji, Nikhil Pampatwar, Rishi Gothankar, and Abhikeet Kothiwale, and the UP Chapter, led by Convener Shri Rajesh Vishwakarma ji, along with key members Hridesh Gupta, Gyan Sharma, Vaishali ji, Dhirendra ji, and Arpit.

With over 100 attendees from the Maharashtrian and UP diaspora, the event was a resounding success. The program commenced with the auspicious Jyot Prajwalan (lamp lighting) ceremony, setting the tone for a day of celebration and reflection. Cultural performances followed, showcasing the rich traditions of both regions. Youth members from the UP community delivered a mesmerizing solo dance, while performers from Maharashtra took the stage to sing the iconic patriotic anthem Jayosstute by Veer Savarkar ji, invoking a sense of pride and nationalism among the audience.

Veteran OFBJPUK leaders, including Shri Madhukar Ambekar ji, Vice President Dr. Anand Aarya ji, and General Secretary Shri Suresh Mangalagiri ji, addressed the attendees, delivering thought-provoking speeches that highlighted the achievements of the BJP and its vision for the future. Their words resonated with the audience, inspiring them to remain committed to the party’s values and to continue contributing to the success of the nation from abroad.

The celebrations were not just marked by speeches but also by a festive atmosphere. The attendees were treated to a lavish lunch, DJ music, and a lively dance party that saw everyone participating in the revelry. A special mention was made of the Mahila Mandal (women’s group), who played an instrumental role in organizing and bringing a unique energy to the event. Their enthusiasm was evident, as they took an active part in the celebrations, adding to the vibrancy of the occasion.

This gathering also held special significance as it was the first joint initiative between the Maharashtra and UP Chapters of OFBJPUK in East London. The collaboration proved to be a monumental step in strengthening the ties between the two chapters and engaging with the diaspora in a meaningful way. The event showcased the power of community unity and the enthusiasm of the diaspora in celebrating the party’s electoral victories.
