Agartala: Early on November 22 morning, 12 Bangladeshi infiltrators were taken into custody by the Government Railway Police (GRP) and Border Security Force (BSF) of Tripura in Teliamura, which is located in the Khowai district. The arrested infiltrators included women and minors. The arrests happened at 7 a.m. when the people, who were all from North Jaliapara, Cox’s Bazar, Bangladesh, tried to enter the state through different border crossings. These unauthorised intrusions persist in spite of the border’s strict protection. The arrested infiltrators told the police in the preliminary investigation that the group entered the Gomti district in Tripura through the Karbuk or Shilachari border areas with the help of Bangladeshi and Indian touts. They intended to arrive at Teliamura railway station, buy train tickets, and take the demo train to Assam. However, the GRP and BSF’s watchful actions prevented their intentions from succeeding.

Abdul Aziz Ullah (22), Azizul Haque (25), Obaidul Ullah (19), Jamila Khatun (5), Khunshun (18), Kohinur Akhter (22), Sagarika Yasmin (20), Satarai Yasmin (6 months), Nuru Siddique (5), Mohanti Yasmin (2), and Mohammad Siddique (60) are among the people who were arrested by security forces. The group stated during the first round of interrogations that they intended to visit Hyderabad where they intended to join in some factory work.  The arrested individuals were produced in court and they were sent to police remand for further investigation. To determine the complete scope of the infiltration network and capture additional participants, more investigation is being conducted by Tripura police. To prevent unauthorised entry and protect the state’s safety and security, the authorities are stepping up their efforts.

On the other hand, Panbazar police in Guwahati, Assam arrested two Bangladeshi infiltrators from the Guwahati Railway Station on 22nd November, according to authorities. They are Arman Malik and Samsita Begum, both of whom are citizens of Bangladesh. Sources claim that the two originally travelled from Bangladesh to Guwahati with the intention of taking a train to Jammu and Kashmir. The police arrested them at the train station, which put a stop to their plans. To learn more about their goals and activities, the Panbazar police produced them in the court and got them in remand. Further investigations are on and police are currently questioning them to uproot the infiltration network.
