Once VIP for Congress Govt terrorist Yashin Malik is begging today for mercy

Yashin Malik, a notorious terrorist responsible for numerous killings, was warmly received by then-Prime Minister Manmohan Singh. Today, under the leadership of Prime Minister Modi, Malik is begging for mercy, revealing the stark contrast in how terrorists are treated in India

On February 17 2006, a smiling picture of the then Prime Minister Dr Manmohan Singh with terrorist Yashin Malik came out and the world came to know that the person who is responsible for the death of many common and special people, who himself has given death to many non-Muslims in the name of Jihad, that Yashin Malik could also be the guest of the then Prime Minister of India in his time. Although then and even now, many reactions have come out in this regard, the thing to think about is that the Prime Minister of India, for whom every second is very precious, not only takes out time for this terrorist but also gets a smiling photo clicked with him. In fact, the release of this photo also revealed how close the then Congress government was to those who were spreading terror in Jammu & Kashmir. But as soon as the power changed and Narendra Modi became the Prime Minister of the country, it seems as if bad times have started for these terrorists and anti-national.

Now take the example of Yashin Malik, in the year 2017, many of his associates were arrested in terror funding cases. Then, in 2019, the Modi government banned his organization, the Jammu Kashmir Liberation Front (JKLF). Since then, the list of crimes committed by Yasin Malik is constantly coming out; social media is filled with many comments made on this, and everyone’s demand is the same that no mercy should be shown to such a terrorist. On the one hand, the public is still asking the then Congress government why he was being given ‘Guest of Honour’ in the UPA government. On the other hand, it is also being said that his imprisonment is justice for many people.

Recently, on the last working day of last week, an incident related to this was seen in the capital, Delhi; this incident has shown that the condition of terrorists in India has become worse under the rule of Prime Minister Narendra Modi! These terrorists are seen begging for their safe life today; for this, these terrorists have to take refuge in the court. Now Yasin Malik has also filed a petition in the court and requested the court that ‘My Lord! I can go into coma, save me’. In this way, this is the second time this year that Malik has knocked on the door of the High Court for relief. In his petition, this terrorist Yasin Malik has claimed that the jail officials are being negligent in the treatment of his health problems. He has a problem of kidney stones on both sides, which needs attention. Due to irregular medical treatment, his organs are becoming weak, and he can go into a coma. Delhi High Court has issued a notice on the petition of Kashmiri separatist leader Yasin Malik. The High Court asked the Tihar Jail authorities to provide necessary medical treatment to Yasin Malik in the Super-Speciality Hospital. But the truth is that a terrorist pleading before the Indian system in this manner is today’s good news.

If we look at the crimes of terrorist Yasin Malik, there are so many that he should have been awarded the death sentence by now. There is strong evidence of how he sensationally murdered four officers of the Indian Air Force. He kidnapped the daughter of the then Home Minister Mufti Mohammad Sayeed, due to which five dreaded criminals had to be released and after their release many other terrorist incidents took place across the country. Actually this is from 1989, when VP Singh’s government was in power at the Centre. Mufti Mohammad Sayeed was the Home Minister at that time. In Srinagar, three terrorists kidnapped Rubaiya Sayeed from a bus, after which five terrorists were released accepting the demands of the terrorists. Later, the result of releasing these dangerous terrorists was that these released terrorists were found to have played an important role in plotting the 26/11 attack that took place in Mumbai in 2008. Yasin Malik and his other associates are also accused of murdering Kashmiri Pandit judge Justice Neelkanth Ganjoo in 1989.

It would be appropriate to inform that Yasin Malik is one of the four terrorists from Kashmir who first went to Pakistan to get terrorist training. These four terrorists have been called Haji Group. These included Hameed Sheikh, Ashfaq Majeed Wani, Yasin Malik and Javed Mir. Both Hameed and Ashfaq have been killed. It has been recorded in history that how this person Yasin Malik and his companions have been misleading Kashmiri Muslims with the slogan of freedom of Kashmir since the late eighties. The entire team associated with him selectively killed Kashmiri Hindus for several decades and forced them to leave Kashmir. This Malik had formed the ‘Tala Party’ in the 80s, whose sole job was to commit organised violence against non-Muslims. When terrorist Maqbool Bhat was hanged on February 11, 1984, even then, he had created a fierce atmosphere of separatism against India in Kashmir through his Tala Party, for which he had to remain behind bars for four months. Then, after being released in 1986, he changed the name of the Tala Party to the Islamic Student League (ISL). Yasin Malik was its general secretary; this is the same organisation which chose the path of proxy and frontal fight against the Indian Army in the name of freedom of Kashmir. Terrorists like Ashfaq Majeed Wani, Javed Mir and Abdul Hameed Sheikh were its members. Then in 1988, it joined the Jammu-Kashmir Liberation Front.

Today, there is much evidence of how this organisation spread tremendous terror in the valley at the behest of Yasin Malik. Youths were lured and made to take up arms. After the 1987 elections, Yasin Malik went to Pakistan-occupied Kashmir for some time and took training in terrorism there. After that, he returned in 1989 and started creating havoc. His biggest incident came to light on January 25, 1990, when terrorists attacked Indian Air Force personnel waiting for a bus to go to Srinagar airport. Four personnel, including Squadron Leader Ravi Khanna, were killed, and 40 people were injured in the attack. Malik is accused of plotting this attack. In 2013, Yasin Malik went on a hunger strike in Pakistan along with Lashkar-e-Taiba chief Hafiz Saeed. This hunger strike was done in protest against the hanging of Afzal Guru. In fact, how much his heart beats for Pakistan is evident from his family relations. In 2009, Yasin Malik married Mushal Hussain, a resident of Pakistan, in Pakistan. Mushal Hussain’s political connection is that her mother, Rehana, has been a leader of the Pakistani Muslim League. This is the same Muslim League which is guilty of partition of India.

On May 19, 2022, the NIA court found Yasin Malik guilty of taking money from Pakistan to promote separatism and terrorism in Kashmir and sentenced him to life imprisonment on May 24, 2022. Along with this, Yasin Malik has been booked under Sections 16 (terrorist activity), 17 (terrorist funding), 18 (conspiracy of terrorist activity) and 20 (being a member of a terrorist gang or organisation) of the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act (UAPA) along with Sections 120-B (criminal conspiracy) and 124-A (sedition) of the IPC. The National Investigation Agency has filed an appeal in the High Court against Malik, seeking an extension of his life sentence to the maximum death sentence. The biggest thing is that Yasin Malik has accepted the charges against him in most of the cases registered under UAPA in the Delhi court. Now, in such a situation, it must be said for Yasin Malik that one whose hands are stained with the blood of many innocent people should not be shown any mercy at all. Even if he goes on a hunger strike in jail or something else. As a matter of principle, the sooner such a terrorist is given the death penalty, the better it will be so that others also get a lesson that no matter how big the terror is, this is its end.
