Jagadguru Shri Rambhadracharya won’t visit Krishna Temples until Krishna Janmabhoomi Case verdict favours Hindus

Spiritual leader Jagadguru Shri Rambhadracharya announced he will refrain from visiting any Krishna temple until the Mathura Krishna Janmabhoomi case is decided in favor of Hindus. The ongoing dispute involves the Shahi Idgah Mosque, built during Mughal Emperor Aurangzeb’s reign, and has seen legal challenges regarding its legitimacy

Spiritual leader Jagadguru Shri Rambhadracharya stated that he will not visit any Krishna temple until the decision on Mathura’s Krishna Janmabhoomi comes in favour. Speaking to media on November 9, the spiritual leader expressed confidence in “achieving success” in the matter.

“Until the decision on Krishna Janmabhoomi comes in our favour, I will not go to any Krishna temple to have darshan. If I am called to the court to give evidence, I will go. Very soon success will be achieved,” he said while speaking to media in Rajasthan’s Jaipur.

Speaking on the Pakistan-occupied Kashmir matter, the spiritual leader said, “I am sure that very soon we will get Pakistan-occupied Kashmir.”

The dispute revolves around the location of the Shahi Idgah Mosque in Mathura, which was reportedly built during the reign of Mughal Emperor Aurangzeb after demolishing a temple at the birthplace of BHagwan Krishna.

Earlier on October 23, the Allahabad High Court dismissed a plea by the Shahi Idgah Mosque committee to recall its January 11, 2024 order, which consolidated all suits filed by Hindu devotees related to the Shri Krishna Janmabhoomi-Shahi Idgah dispute in Mathura.

Justice Mayank Kumar Jain dismissed the plea. The recall petition concerned 15 cases, and the court had reserved its decision on the matter for October 16.

On January 11, a single judge directed the consolidation of 15 suits related to the Shri Krishna Janmabhoomi-Shahi Idgah dispute. This decision, made ‘in the interest of justice,’ was based on an application filed by Hindu plaintiffs under Order IV-A of the Civil Procedure Code.

On August 1, Justice Jain also rejected applications from the Shahi Idgah Mosque committee challenging the maintainability of the cases filed by the opposing party.
