Jamshedpur: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on September 15 said that ‘Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas’ has transformed the nation, adding that the centre’s priority is the development of tribals, the poor, youth, and women. Addressing the gathering through video conferencing, PM Modi bowed down to Baba Baidyanath and Baba Basukinath, the land of Birsa Munda.

“I bow down to Baba Baidyanath and Baba Basukinath, the land of Birsa Munda. In the morning, when I reached at the Ranchi airport, a lady welcomed me by offering me a ‘jawa’ on ‘Karma Parv’. During this festival, the sisters pray for the well-being of their brothers. Jharkhand has got the blessings of development today, six Vande Bharat trains were flagged off, and lakhs of people will be getting pucca houses,” the Prime Minister said.

The Prime Minister said that today marks a significant day in Jharkhand’s developmental journey. “Today, the state has been provided with six new Vande Bharat trains, railway projects worth over Rs 650 crores, enhanced connectivity and travel infrastructure, and the added benefit of thousands of people receiving their own homes under the PM Awas Yojana. I extend my heartiest congratulations to the people of Jharkhand for these remarkable development initiatives. I congratulate people on new Vande Bharat trains,” he added.

He further said that the centre’s priority is the development of tribals, the poor, youth and women.  “There was a time when development used to be confined to few areas. Jharkhand was a laggard. But Sabka Saath Sabka Vikas has changed everything. Now the priority is poor, STs, Dalits, women, youth, and farmers, hence, Jharkhand is getting the Vande Bharat Trains, modern infrastructure. I flagged off the trains. It will help the economy in eastern region. PM Janman Yojana is being run for the tribal brothers and sisters across the country. Through this scheme, efforts are being made to reach those tribes who are very backward. The budget for railway development for Jharkhand is Rs. 7,000 crores. If we compare this to the budget 10 years ago, it is 16 times more,” he said.

The Prime Minister mentioned that under the Amrit Bharat Station Scheme, more than 50 railway stations in Jharkhand are also being renovated. “Today, Jharkhand has also joined the list of states where 100 per cent electrification of the railway network has been achieved. Under the Amrit Bharat Station Yojana, over 50 railway stations in Jharkhand are also being transformed. Today, the first instalment has been released for the construction of permanent houses for thousands of beneficiaries in Jharkhand under the PM Awas Yojana,” he said.

He further said that the Central Government has significantly boosted investments in Jharkhand, strengthening developmental projects in the state. “Notably, this year’s budget allocation for railway infrastructure development in Jharkhand exceeds Rs 7,000 crore, representing a 16-fold increase compared to the budget allocated a decade ago,” PM Modi said.

In a post on X, PM Modi said that Jharkhand has the potential to become the most prosperous state of India.
“Our government is committed to developed Jharkhand and developed India. Today, I feel proud to inaugurate and lay the foundation stone of several development projects in Tatanagar,” PM Modi posted on X.

Earlier today, PM Modi laid the foundation stone and inaugurated development works in Jamshedpur, Jharkhand.
He laid the foundation stone for the Madhupur Bye pass line in the Deoghar district and the Hazaribag Town Coaching Depot in the Hazaribag district of Jharkhand.

The Prime Minister also distributed sanction letters to Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana-Gramin (PMAY-G) beneficiaries in Tatanagar, Jharkhand and also released the 1st instalment of assistance to the beneficiaries.
The Prime Minister also dedicated to the nation the Kurkura-Kanaroan doubling, which is a part of the Bondamunda-Ranchi single line section and part of the Rourkela-Gomoh route via Ranchi, Muri and Chandrapura stations.

The project will help in the increased mobility of goods and passenger traffic considerably. Apart from this, 04 Road under Bridges (RUBs) were also dedicated to the nation for enhancing safety to common people.
