According to the reports, the incident took place around 10pm on Friday when the accused allegedly vandalised some portion of the Ganesha idol. They further also misbehaved with the members of the ‘Pooja Committee’ when they confronted them for their misconduct. Following heated exchange, the youths later fled the scene.

It’s been learned that the said youths were also indulged in smoking and playing cards within the Pandal premises for the past two days and were ignoring the requests of the committee members who repeatedly have informed them not to carry out such acts within the premise. A purported video of the accused linked to the incident has also gone viral on the internet.
