Ayodhya: New selfie points allow devotees to capture moments with replica of Ram Lalla

Since the enthronement of Bhagwan Ram in Ayodhya, over two crore devotees have visited and worshipped him. More than one lakh pilgrims arrive in Ayodhya daily, each eager to capture a photograph with Bhagwan Ram on their mobile phones.

The desire of Ram Lalla’s devotees in Ayodhya has been fulfilled. Now, pilgrims can take selfies with Ramlala, preserving the divine presence of Bhagwan Ram in their hearts through their mobile phone cameras.

For this, Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Samiti has made selfie points at two places in the Ram Mandir premises, where bhakts from all over the country and the world can take selfies with the replica of the bhagwan. These selfie points have been decorated exactly like the sanctum sanctorum.

After the ban on mobile phones in Ram Mandir, the trust started this facility for devotees. Earlier, Ram bhakts used to carry mobile phones in the newly built temple for a few days, but gradually, mobile phones were banned due to security reasons. Even VIPs are not allowed to carry their phones.

Along with this, another big decision has been made in the temple’s arrangements. The committee has also banned priests from carrying mobile phones inside Ram Lalla’s sanctum sanctorum.

In this context, Champat Rai, the General Secretary of Ram Mandir Trust, held a meeting with the pujaris in Ganpati Bhavan. During this, he said that the pujaris would be able to carry phones on the temple premises, but phones would not be allowed in the sanctum sanctorum.

Before entering the sanctum sanctorum, the pujaris will have to deposit their phones in the locker outside. Rai told the priests that taking photos and making videos on the temple premises would be prohibited. Gopal Rao, who was present at the meeting and in charge of the temple construction committee, told the priests not to take Dakshina from any bhakt. He clearly mentioned that even if a bhakt wants to give dakshina, he should be asked to put it in the donation box. During this meeting itself, the temple committee engaged 20 new pujaris for the work of worship service. The training of these pujaris has been completed recently. They were sent to work after explaining the code of conduct made for the worship of Bhagwan.
