Guwahati: In a series of investigations carried out in Assam and Bihar, police uncovered an Interstate Muslim human trafficking gang that was involved in the trafficking of young girls from Assam. On July 10, Jogighopa police in the Bongaigaon district apprehended three traffickers: Arbaaz Khan, his father Papu Khan, and his mother Bashiran Nesa while trying to traffic a minor girl pretending to marry her.
Under the guise of marrying a 14-year-old girl, they attempted to flee the state but were caught. The cops apprehended the Uttar Pradesh youth and his parents. The family traffics in young girls for human trafficking. They pose as married to young girls and then sell them to brothels, according to a police source. A Case number 114/24 has been filed by the police in accordance with Section 87/143 of the Bhartiya Nyay Samhita (BNS). The issue is still being looked into. On the other hand two girls, one of whom was a juvenile, were successfully freed from traffickers in Bihar earlier on June 8 by the Guwahati Police.

The call was tracked down to Bihar’s Panjibara.
Panjibara received a police force dispatched from Bhangagarh Police Station. They were able to rescue both females and capture the person who had placed the extortion call, Tanveer Alom, during a search and rescue operation.
