The  highest civilian honour, the Order of St Andrew the Apostle of Russia was aawarded to PM Narendra Modi during his visit to Moscow. The list of awards, honours, certifications and orders conferred to PM Narendra Modi is a testimony to his hard work, leadership and his political prowess that have enshrined the name of ‘Bharat’ amongst the international community

Prime Minister Narendra Modi during his visit to Russia on July 9 was conferred with highest civilian honour, the Order of St Andrew the Apostle by Russian President Vladimir Putin. After receiving the award, PM Modi took to twitter and said that being conferred with the highest award of Russia was an honour for 140 crore Indians. This is Prime Minister Modi’s second international visit soon after he assumed office the third time as PM of Bharat on June 9.

Russia’s highest civilian honour, the Order of St Andrew the Apostle

Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi who was recently on a two day visit to France was awarded the French Legion Of Honour by French President Emmanuel Macron on the occasion of Bastille Day. Ever since he came to power in 2014, he has launched India on a very high trajectory which is unparalleled and has surpassed many world politicians. He is also a strong leader and has formed benevolent and cordial ties with great powers, rising powers as well as the Third World.

     Legion of France 

France’s Legion of Honour Award has five categories- from lower to higher- Knight<Officer<Commander<Grand Officer<Grand Cross. Prime Minister Narendra Modi got the highest degree of Grand Cross.

                                            5 Categories of France’s Legion Of Honour Award 

The Prime Minister of India, Narendra Modi, is one of the world’s most dynamic and respected personalities and has been conferred numerous prestigious awards, titles and honours by countries all over the world. In the past nine years of his tenure, he has received many international awards. In 2016, he was given the Order of Abdul Aziz, which is the highest honour in Saudi Arabia given to non-Muslim dignitaries.

The same year, PM Narendra Modi was given the State Order of Ghazi Amir Amanullah Khan. This is the highest civilian honour in Afghanistan. Two years later, in 2018, he was given three awards, namely, the Grand Collar of the State of Palestine Award, which is the highest honour given to non-Palestinians.

 

Order of the Zayed (UAE)

He was conferred the Champions of the World Award. This is the United Nation’s highest environmental honour and the Seoul Peace Prize (it is awarded twice a year to those individuals who have made their mark through contributions to the harmony of mankind, reconciliation between nations and world peace)

PM Modi received five honours in the year 2019. These were King Hamad’s Order of Renaissance (the first-class top honour of the Gulf Nations), Order of the Distinguished Rule of Nishad Izzudin (the topmost award given by the Maldives), Order of St Andrew Award (the highest civilian honour award given by the Russian Federation), the Order of the Zayed Award (the highest honour of the United Arab Emirates, UAE) and Global Goalkeeper Award by Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation

 

King Hamad Order of Renaissance (Bahrain)

In 2020, he was honoured with the Legion Of Merit by the US government (this award of the United States Armed Forces is given to exceptionally meritorious conduct in the performance of outstanding achievements and services).

Legion of Merit (USA)

The Himalayan nation of Bhutan has honoured PM Modi with the Order of the Druk Gyalpo, the highest civilian decoration in 2020. The same year, PM Modi was provided Global Energy and Leadership by Cambridge Energy Research Associates (this award recognises the commitment of leadership towards the future of global energy and environment).

 

 

Order of St Andrew Award (Russia)

This year, in 2023, PM Modi was awarded the Companion of the Order of Logohu (this is the award given by Papua New Guinea to those who championed the cause of unity of the Pacific Island Countries and spearheaded the cause of the Global South). He was awarded Companion of the Order of Fiji in recognition of PM Modi’s global leadership).

During his visit to Papua New Guinea, he was awarded the Ebakl Award by the Republic of Palau by President Surangel S. Whipps Jr.
