Best Ayurvedic Medicines for Heart Health:

Triphala:

Combining three potent herbs—Haritaki, Amalaki, and Bibhitaki—Triphala is renowned in Ayurveda for supporting heart health. It helps lower high cholesterol levels by promoting healthy lipid metabolism and reducing arterial plaque buildup, thus improving cardiovascular function.

Arjuna:

Widely regarded as a cardioprotective herb, Arjuna is prized for its ability to enhance blood circulation and strengthen the heart muscles. It supports the proper functioning of the cardiovascular system, maintains healthy blood pressure levels, and improves overall heart health.

Ashwagandha:

Beyond its well-known stress-relieving properties, Ashwagandha is also beneficial for heart health. It helps strengthen the heart muscles, improving their efficiency and reducing the risk of cardiovascular disorders. Additionally, Ashwagandha supports the body’s resilience to stress, which is essential for maintaining a healthy heart.

Heart-Healthy Foods

Leafy Greens:

Leafy greens are packed with antioxidants, vitamins, and minerals, making them excellent choices for promoting heart health. They help lower blood pressure, reduce inflammation, and support overall cardiovascular function.

Amla (Indian Gooseberries):

Amla is a powerhouse of vitamin C and antioxidants, known for its heart-protective properties. It helps lower cholesterol levels, improve blood circulation, and strengthen blood vessels, thus reducing the risk of heart disease.

Whole Grains:

Whole grains like oats, brown rice, quinoa, and barley are rich in fibre, vitamins, and minerals essential for heart health. They help regulate cholesterol levels, stabilise blood sugar, and promote a healthy weight, all of which contribute to a strong heart.

Ashwagandha:

Ashwagandha, an adaptogenic herb, helps combat stress and anxiety, which are significant risk factors for heart disease. By reducing stress levels, Ashwagandha supports heart health and helps maintain normal blood pressure and heart rhythm.

Olive Oil:

Rich in monounsaturated fats and antioxidants, olive oil is a staple of the Mediterranean diet, renowned for its heart-protective benefits. It helps lower LDL cholesterol, reduce inflammation, and improve endothelial function, promoting overall cardiovascular health.

Garlic:

Garlic contains compounds like allicin and sulfur, which have been shown to lower cholesterol levels, reduce blood pressure, and prevent blood clot formation. Incorporating garlic into your diet may help reduce the risk of heart disease and improve heart function.

Lemon:

Citrus fruits like lemon are rich in vitamin C and antioxidants, which help reduce inflammation and oxidative stress in the body. Drinking lemon water or adding lemon to meals can support heart health by improving digestion, detoxification, and hydration.

Nuts:

Nuts like almonds, walnuts, and pistachios are packed with heart-healthy fats, fibre, and plant sterols. They help lower LDL cholesterol, improve artery function, and reduce the risk of blood clots, making them excellent snacks for maintaining cardiovascular health.
