Union Home Minister Amit Shah stated that the Congress party was fighting a battle for its existence as there was no clear-cut leadership to manage its affairs. Shah pinpointed three critical crises: crisis of candidates, crisis of leadership, and crisis of proper formulation of policy and intent. He criticised the party’s election manifesto, drawing parallels with the Muslim League and questioning its stance on supporting minority personal laws.
He added that presently, the Congress party lacks leadership, it does not have the right intention, nor the right advisors. Shah hit back at the Congress party for time and again questioning the credibility of the electronic voting machine. He said that when the Congress leaders win the elections, they take oath swiftly and when they lose it, then they question its authenticity. This exposes that they do not have an aptitude for rational thinking

Union Home Minister Amit Shah minced no words in attacking the Congress Party for denouncing Uniform Civil Code (UCC) and the Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA). Shah added that the CAA was aimed at protecting the rights of the minorities who had come from Pakistan, and Afghanistan and their rights were not being protected in those countries. He hit back at the Congress party for misleading the people of Bharat.
Shah underscored significance of UCC as a guiding principle in the Constitution, noting the BJP’s efforts to implement it within the next five years. He attributed the delay in NRC implementation to the COVID-19 pandemic, affirming the necessity of the Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA) to address the concerns of refugees seeking citizenship.
Shah criticised the Congress for allegedly reneging on India’s commitment to refugees during the partition, accusing the party of breaking promises and emphasising refugees’ rights to Indian citizenship. He asserted that the BJP’s manifesto commitments extend beyond the first 100 days of governance, reaffirming the party’s long-term vision for the nation’s development.
Shah categorically stated that the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is against religion-based reservation and emphasised the party’s commitment to a democracy free from casteism, nepotism, corruption, and appeasement. Shah denounced the Congress Party for indulging in vote bank politics and added that it was inappropriate.

Amit Shah clarified the absence of the National Register of Citizens (NRC) in the BJP manifesto, stating that the party prioritised the Uniform Civil Code (UCC) so that there is uniformity and no religion has its own laws. With regards to ‘One Nation One Election,’ he highlighted the financial burden and logistical challenges of repeated elections, endorsing that the ‘One Nation One Election’ initiative will streamline the voting process and reduce confusion among voters.

Shah added that the claim made by Kejriwal was that he was arrested just before the elections is baseless since he had evaded the summons which were sent by the Enforcement Directorate in the last six months. Moreover, if Kejriwal was claiming that his life is under threat while he is in jail, then it means that he is facing threat from his own party since the Delhi jail where he has been placed falls under the purview of the Delhi government.
Amit Shah asserted that the Bharatiya Janata Party was working towards the welfare of the people and for the development of Bharat. In the process, it would take all those decision which would benefit Bharat in the long run.
