UGC NET June Session 2024 and UPSC IAS Preliminary Exam dates is clashing. Both are set to be conducted on June 16, 2024. Earlier the preliminary exam date for UPSC IAS 2024 was May 26, 2024, but was postponed/revised due to the Lok Sabha Elections 2024. The much-awaited UGC NET June Session notification was released on April 20, 2024, and the exam will be conducted on June 16, 2024. Candidates are now demanding the concerned authorities to revise exam dates.

Many candidates who prepare for IAS also attempt the UGC NET exam every year and if the dates of any exam are not changed it will be a huge loss for candidates who prepare for both UGC NET and IAS.

Candidates Pallavi, Shishir, Raju, and many others are demanding UGC to revise the examination dates for the UGC NET June session 2024. As UPSC has already revised its exam calendar for the year 2024, candidates now demand UGC to do the same and revise exam dates for the June Session. Pressure is on UGC as UPSC has already revised its exam date because of the Lok Sabha Elections of 2024.

For the year 2024 UGC has decided to conduct the June 2024 Session exam in Offline Pen and Paper mode for Junior Research Fellowship and Assistant Professor. Due to the exam being conducted in Offline mode it might be difficult for NTA and UGC to reschedule the exam dates for June 2024 session.

As of now, there is no update from UGC and UPSC regarding the exam dates. Candidates demand UGC to revise their exam dates as UPSC has already revised their exam dates once.
