Kerala: “Communism wanes, Congress fades; BJP’s era of development beckons in Kerala,” says Union Minister Amit Shah

Amit Shah, Union Minister for Home and Cooperative Affairs, said in Alappuzha on April 24 that Communism is dead in the entire world, including Kerala; Congress is disappearing from the country day by day. The days to come are of development, and they are the days of the BJP. He appealed to the voters to vote after considering the sentiments of the State’s cultural legacy. The Home Minister was addressing the election campaign meeting of BJP/NDA candidate Sobha Surendran.

Home Minister said that I.N.D.I. Alliance is full of looters and thieves. CPM and Congress, the constituents of I.N.D.I. Alliance are locking the horns in Kerala and West Bengal. But, both are enjoying honeymoon in Delhi. Both are hand-in-glove in befooling the people. The imminent parliament elections will liberate Kerala from the regime of violence.

Amit Shah said that in Kerala, the Congress and the communists are helping the Popular Front of India (PFI), the outlawed terrorist outfit. Home Minister said the Congress is seeking the support of SDPI, the political wing of PFI. The communists also vied for their support. Such terrorist parties will not be tolerated under Modi’s regime. He pointed out that SDPI has openly announced its support to Congress in Lok Sabha polls. Both parties are cheating the people. He reminded that Prime Minister Narendra Modi removed Article 370, which the Congress had been protecting for seventy years. Amit Shah spoke, in detail, about the developmental programmes the Modi Government has been implementing. Millions of people have been lifted above the poverty line.

Home Minister said Kerala stands united and ready to rise alongside Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Only PM Modi can protect and preserve Kerala’s cultural heritage. Both the CPM and Congress support PFI in voting bank politics. PFI will remain outlawed as long as PM Modi calls the shots. There is no basic disputes between Congress and CPM; whatever we see is drama, nothing else. He added that the Union Government intends to declare a special package for the coir industry. (Alappuzha is the district of coir industry in Kerala). Home Minister said that terrorism and terrorists found Kerala a safe haven under the rules of Communists and Congress. He pointed out that BJP leader Adv Renjith Sreenivasan was murdered in Alappuzha by SDPI and PFI terrorists. RSS worker Nandu also had the same fate. PM Modi will eradicate all terrorists like PFI.

Amit Shah said that every vote cast in favour of Sobha Surendran strengthens PM Narendra Modiji’s candidature for a third term as the Prime Minister of Bharat. Several surveys indicate, the people of Kerala is prepared to support Modiji. Fishermen and farmers stand by Modiji. He said that Kerala does have three main political fronts: The CPM-led Left Democratic Front (LDF), Congress & Indian Union Muslim-led United Democratic Front (UDF) and BJP-led NDA. Modi government is all set to empower three crore ‘lakhpati didis’. NDA government elevates the country to the heights of agriculture, manufacturing and technology. It stands for the success missions like Chandrayaan, Mangalyaan and Adityaan. It is to liberate Kerala from the fire of violence.

The Home Minister quoted various schemes the Union Government has declared for Kerala. PM Modi has introduced urban development schemes worth Rs 360 cr for 201 initiatives in Alappuzha alone. In Alappuzha, 240,000 farmers have received cheques of Rs 6,000 each. And 170,000 poor persons in a single constituency have got tap water, and thousands of fishermen have benefitted from the Pradhan Mathri Matsya Sampada Yojana. Referring to the special programme for the coir industry, the Home Minister said that it is the “Modi Ki Guarantee.”

Amit Shah reminded that under the leadership of PM Modi, the Minimum Support Price (MSP) for paddy was increased from Rs 1,310 in 2014-15 to Rs 2,183. Addressing the Karuvannur Cooperative Bank scam, he condemned the communist attacks on the morality of the cooperatives. Now, the ED is carrying out the investigation, and the Modi Government will ensure the recovery of every penny. He attacked both Congress and communists for keeping mum in this regard. He vowed that the BJP would book all culprits. He alleged that CPM’s stand on Bharat’s nuclear capabilities is contradictory. He asked them to address the nuclear powers of communist countries before commenting on Bharat. Bharat’s journey to be an atomic superpower was launched by the former Hon. Prime Minister Atal Behari Vajpayee. PM Modi carries it out with deserving attention and care. He would not compromise on the country’s security.

Amit Shah accused CPM of engaging in illegal mining and smuggling of nuclear-rich black sand to foreign countries. He alleged that both Congress and Communist leaders were involved in it. The involvement of the family, relatives, and office of Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan is alleged to have been involved in these scams. Still, CPM, despite flaunting transparency, keeps mum. Both CPM and Congress receive support from anti-national outfits. He cited the support they get from PFI and SDPI, respectively. The Welfare Party, which is committed to making Bharat an Islamic State, supports Congress.

Amit Shah commented on AICC president Mallikarjun Kharge’s statement questioning Kerala’s relevance to Kashmir. He highlighted that every child of Kerala is willing to sacrifice everything for Kashmir. He came down heavily on Congress for delaying the resolution of Article 370 for 70 years. PM Modi swiftly modified it. He ensured Kashmir’s integral status within Bharat forever. He countered terrorism and Maoism effectively. He strives to eradicate poverty. He established Ayushman Bharat for poor men’s free health coverage up to Rs 5 lakhs, benefitting several crores in the country.

The Home Minister appealed to the voters of Alappuzha to make the right choice before voting. He highlighted the crucial role played by the fishermen of Kerala in nation-building. Under the leadership of PM Modi, more than 217,000 biometric cards have been provided to support them and ensure their safety. PM Modi has allocated Rs 260 crore to the State’s development fund. Kerala has been allocated, under the Pradhan Manthri Matsya Sampada Yojana, Rs 444 crore. He appealed to the voters that only under the leadership of PM Modi, we can build a “Mahaan Bharath”.

Union Minister criticised the Congress for delaying the resolution of Article 370 for 70 years, whereas Prime Minister Narendra Modi swiftly abrogated it, ensuring Kashmir’s integral status within India forever.  PM Modi has effectively countered terrorism and Naxalism, while tirelessly striving to eradicate poverty. Through Ayushman Bharat, poor individuals receive free health coverage up to Rs 5 lakh, benefiting crores across the nation. In Alappuzha alone, 6 lakh 40 thousand people have benefited from this transformative scheme. In Alappuzha alone, PM Modi has introduced urban development schemes worth Rs 360 crore, encompassing 201 initiatives. Through PM Kisan Samman Nidhi, 2 lakh 40 thousand farmers in Alappuzha have received cheques of Rs 6000 each. Furthermore, 1 lakh 70 thousand poor individuals in a single constituency have gained access to tap water, while thousands of fishermen have benefited from the Pradhan Mantri Matsya Sampada Yojana.

Former Union Minister Alphons Kannanthanam and BJP leaders Adv George Kurien and M V Gopakumar were with the Home Minister.

Dynamic BJP leader Sobha Surendran is in a triangular contest in the Alappuzha constituency. Sitting MP A.M. Arif of CPM and Congress’s K C Venugopal MP (RS), Former Minister, and MLA are the contestants. Sobha, one of the most dynamic and charismatic leaders and vote-getters of BJP, is all set to win from Alappuzha. Her past history says that wherever she contests, whether in Lok Sabha or assembly constituencies, she increased the tally of BJP to enviable heights.
