.The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has unveiled its much-anticipated election manifesto, the “Sankalp Patra,” on April 14, outlining a comprehensive plan to uplift women, the poor, and youth across the nation.
The Sankal Patra of the BJP focuses on dignity and quality of life. the manifesto emphasizes the party’s commitment to improving infrastructure and creating employment opportunities. Prime Minister Narendra Modi after releasing the BJP’s manifesto reaffirmed the government’s goal of developing India as a global center for high-end services, aiming to provide a better standard of living for all citizens.
One of the key highlights of the manifesto is the continuation of free ration availability for the next five years under Modi’s guarantee, ensuring that the poor have access to a healthy diet at an affordable cost.

Additionally, the BJP plans to provide medicines at a significant 80 per cent discount through Aaushadhi Kendras, benefiting millions of citizens.
Elderly citizens aged 70 and above will now be covered under the Ayushman Yojana, receiving up to R 5 lakh of free medical treatment.

The party also aims to construct 3 crore more affordable houses and expand access to clean cooking gas by transitioning to piped gas connections.
Furthermore, the BJP’s manifesto promises to work towards reducing electricity bills to zero and generating income for households. The recently launched PM Surya Kiran scheme, which saw 1 crore people register, is expected to contribute significantly to this goal.
In a bid to support entrepreneurship and economic growth, the BJP plans to increase the loan limit under the Mudra Yojana to Rs 10 lakh. Additionally, rural areas will see an expansion of financial support with an increase in the loan limit to Rs 50,000.

In a move towards inclusivity, the manifesto pledges to bring transgender individuals under the ambit of the Ayushman Yojana, ensuring they receive necessary healthcare benefits.
The unveiling of the “Sankalp Patra” signals the BJP’s commitment to addressing the needs of marginalised communities and fostering economic growth and development across the country. With a focus on providing opportunities for all sections of society, the manifesto reflects the party’s vision for a prosperous and inclusive India.
The BJP received over 1.5 million suggestions for its manifesto, including more than 400,000 through the NaMo app and over 1.1 million through videos.
The Lok Sabha polls in India are scheduled to take place from April 19, 2024, to June 1, 2024, to choose the 543 representatives for the 18th Lok Sabha. These elections will be conducted over seven phases, with the outcome being declared on June 4.
Around 970 million individuals, out of a total population of 1.44 billion, are eligible to take part in the elections. The legislative assembly elections in Andhra Pradesh, Arunachal Pradesh, Odisha, and Sikkim will coincide with the general election. Additionally, there will be by-elections for 35 seats across 16 states.
