Kerala: “Bharat will be the world’s third-largest economy,” says Smriti Irani

Union Minister for Women and Child Development Smriti Irani told in Kasaragod on March 4 that Bharat will be the world’s largest economy. The Minister was addressing a public meeting organised by National Democratic Alliance (NDA). Some people challenge PM Modi; the same people keep mum when they are asked who their leader is and what their action plan is. Congress and CPM fight each other in Kerala for seats, but in Delhi, they hug each other. Prime Minister Narendra Modi established the Ministry of Cooperation at the centre. But, in Kerala, cooperative banks witness loot. Both the Left Democratic Front (LDF) and United Democratic Front (UDF) are looting cooperative banks in the State, but the same congressmen do not even carry their party flags in Wayanad. They are scared to display the flags of the Muslim League, the second largest constituent of UDF, in the same constituency. UDF leaders, who always vouch and promise in the name of the country’s Constitution, seek even the help of Popular Front of India (PFI). They do not have enough strength even to win a single seat without an alliance.

Smriti Irani added that the people of the country told the BJP workers that NDA would bag more than 400 seas in Lok Sabha at this time. CPM asks Rahul Gandhi to go to Ameti and contest. But, the same CPM and Congress are ‘Bhai Bhai’ in Delhi. They fight each other here. PM Modi tries to make the country a developed one, but, the I.N.D.I.Alliance tries to loot it.

Referring to the central aid to the State of Kerala, Smriti Irani said that during the Congress regime, the centre used to give meagre aid to the State. But, Modi Government gives six times more than what Congress gave. Rs 400 crore had been awarded under Pradhan Manthri Malsya Sampada Yojana. But, Kerala spent only Rs 72 crore. Congress represented Ameti for 50 years, but, water connections for four lakh houses and the railway station development were achieved after she became the MP of Amethi. Narendra Modi Government implemented the national highway expansion in Kerala and Kasaragod railway station development under the Amrut Station scheme. Returning the Narendra Modi regime is the only solution to put an end to corruption and stunted development. Smriti Irani wondered how long Rahul Gandhi could hide the flag of the Muslim League in Wayanad. She said, wait and see how long this hide-and-seek will continue.

M L Ashwini, BJP Lok Sabha candidate, and other BJP State and district State leaders were present. Thousands of people attended the mammoth rally. Here, BJP leader and candidate M L Ashwini locks horns with Congress leader and sitting MP Rajmohan Unnithan and LDF candidate M V Balakrishnan. Unnithan has been a senior Congress leader, and M V Balakrishnan is the Kasaragod district secretary CPM.

Observers find a fair chance for the multilingual BJP candidate. Ashwini has been campaigning for BJP in about 10 States, including Gujarat and Karnataka. People are fed up with CPM’s corrupt regime, poor administration and worst sort of fiscal issues. Rajmohan Unnithan has lost his charisma as he miserably failed to look after his voters. Both Fronts’ minority vote bank policy has invited the wrath of the voters. However, Ashwini’s sincere and efficient actions attract people’s attention. The voters know that one vote for Ashwini is again one vote for Modi’s visionary actions.
