In a historic first, Prime Minister Narendra Modi granted an exclusive interview to Thanthi TV, marking the first time a sitting Prime Minister has appeared on a Tamil satellite TV channel. During the hour-long discussion, PM Modi addressed a wide range of topics, including his past electoral experiences, corruption, and the significance of prana pratishta.

Responding to rumours about his potential candidature from Varanasi and Ramanathapuram in Tamil Nadu, PM Modi dismissed any concrete plans, stating that he had never contemplated contesting elections in his life. He emphasised his commitment to serving the party’s interests, expressing readiness to contest from any constituency as per the party’s decision.

Regarding the possibility of contesting from Tamil Nadu, PM Modi asserted his openness to the idea, highlighting his adaptable approach to life without preset agendas or plans. He reiterated his dedication to working for the nation’s development, regardless of electoral outcomes, emphasising the importance of focusing on people’s aspirations rather than electoral politics.

Addressing questions about Tamil Nadu’s political landscape, PM Modi praised former IPS officer Annamalai for his decision to join the BJP, commending his family and social background and characterising him as a hardworking young leader. He expressed regret over AIADMK’s decision not to align with the BJP-led alliance, suggesting it was a missed opportunity to fulfil the dreams of late leader Jayalalithaa.

PM Modi exuded confidence in the strength of the NDA coalition, asserting that the upcoming elections would see a wave of support for the BJP and its allies. He downplayed concerns about electoral opposition, stating that positive votes would outweigh any anti-votes, signaling a favorable outcome for the NDA in Tamil Nadu and across the country.

Responding to queries about the Enforcement Directorate (ED) and its actions, PM Modi emphasized the agency’s independence and impartiality, stating that the government does not interfere in its functioning. He asserted that the ED’s actions would be subject to judicial scrutiny, emphasizing the importance of maintaining the agency’s autonomy.

When asked about the Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (DMK), PM Modi refrained from issuing a specific message, stating that the people of the state would deliver a decisive verdict through their ballots. He expressed confidence that the electorate would express their sentiments toward the party in the upcoming elections.

In a profound reflection on his spiritual journey and the monumental significance of the Ram Mandir Prana Pratishta, Prime Minister Narendra Modi shared his deeply personal experiences in an interview with Hari, shedding light on the profound impact of the temple’s inauguration and the transformative power of spirituality in his life.

Speaking candidly, Prime Minister Modi recounted the surreal moment when he was invited to attend the inaugural function of the Ram Mandir, an event that left him profoundly moved. Despite his stature as the Prime Minister, Modi expressed how this invitation stood out, prompting him to embark on an 11-day period of penance and introspection, delving into the spiritual realms associated with Lord Sriram.

Modi’s journey towards the inauguration of the Ram Mandir in Ayodhya was marked by a profound sense of spiritual awakening, as he reflected on his role as a representative of the 140 crore people of Bharat. He emphasized the deeply rooted sentiments and aspirations of generations past, spanning over 500 years, who harbored dreams of seeing the temple’s construction come to fruition.

As Modi stepped into the newly built temple, his mind was filled with a flood of emotions and reverence. He spoke of being humbled by the collective effort and sacrifices made by countless individuals throughout history, whose dreams and devotion were now realized in the form of the Ram Mandir. Modi described the moment as the culmination of a 500-year struggle, symbolising the beginning of a new era of prosperity and growth for the nation.

Standing before the idol of Lord Sri Ram, Modi’s gaze was fixated on the deity’s feet, feeling an overwhelming sense of humility and reverence. Despite his exalted position, Modi found himself immersed in a state of profound spiritual connection, guided by the belief that the temple’s inauguration heralded the dawn of a golden era for India.

The Prime Minister’s experience during the Deepaaraadhanai, the ritual of offering light to the deity, was described as a deeply poignant and transformative moment. Modi expressed his inability to articulate the depth of emotions he felt at that moment, as he found himself enveloped in a profound sense of spiritual fulfillment and divine purpose.

Reflecting on his spiritual journey, Modi emphasized the importance of spirituality in his life, alongside his duties as a political leader. He spoke of finding solace and inspiration in moments of introspection and devotion, which had profoundly shaped his outlook and approach towards governance.

In conclusion, Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s interview provided a rare glimpse into the deeply personal and spiritual dimensions of his life, offering profound insights into his journey towards the inauguration of the Ram Mandir and the transformative power of spirituality in shaping his vision for the nation’s future.
