UPSC released the Engineering Services Result 2024 on March 28, 2024. Candidates who appeared for the exam can now check their UPSC ESE (IES) Prelims Result 224 status on the official website of UPSC i.e., upsc.gov.in. Earlier, the UPSC ESE Prelims 2024 was conducted on February 18, 2024 in two shifts.
The UPSC ESE Prelims Result 2024 PDF includes the names and roll numbers of the qualified candidates. Selected candidates are eligible to appear for UPSC ESE Mains 2024 exam, scheduled for June 23, 2024. A total of 167 vacancies will be filled out through UPSC ESE Recruitment 2024.

How to Check UPSC ESE Prelims Result 2024?
Candidates can follow the detailed guidelines provided below to download or view the UPSC ESE Prelims 2024 Result:
Step 1: Go to UPSC’s official website at upsc.gov.in.
Step 2: Look for the “Engineering Services (Prelims) Exam 2024” option and click it to be taken to a different website.
Step 3: At this point, you’ll see a “List of Candidates Eligible for the Mains Examination 2024” option. Click on it to download the PDF file.
Step 4: Check whether you are qualified to take part in the Mains after clearing the preliminary exams by opening the result gazette and searching for your roll number.
The Union Public Service Commission will officially announce the cut-off marks for the second round of UPSC ESE 2024 for Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics, and Telecom Engineering positions. Candidates who took the exam must note that the cutoff marks for General will likely be between 180 and 200, and it will be lower for candidates from reserved categories than for UR candidates.
The UPSC ESE Mains Exam 2024 will include two papers with questions from the discipline opted for by the candidates: Mechanical Engineering/ Civil Engineering/ Electrical Engineering,/ Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering. Candidates will have to answer a total of 5 questions out of 8 and there will be no negative marking for incorrect answers. The duration of paper 1 and paper 2 is 3 hours each, covering a total of 300 marks.
Those who successfully pass the Mains cutoff score will be called for the Personal Interview phase. Candidates who qualify for both the preliminary and main examination will be eligible to participate in the IES Personality test.
Final shortlisted candidates will be recruited for a total of 167 vacancies, out of which 05 vacancies are available for PwD, 04 for Locomotor Disability, 01 for Multiple Disability and 157 vacancies for candidates who belong to other categories, such as General, OBC, SC and ST.
