Madhya Pradesh Public Service Commission (MPPSC) released a notification on March 20, 2024, stating that it has decided to postpone and reschedule the State Service Preliminary Examination 2024 and the State Forest Service Examination 2024. The exam will be held on June 23, 2024, instead of April 28 (the previous exam date) at each of the State’s 55 district headquarters. The decision has been made due to the upcoming Lok Sabha elections, which will be held in four phases. Interested candidates can check the related details on the commission’s official website.

The MPPSC, being mindful of the significance of both events, recognises the necessity of adjusting its timetable to accommodate the electoral responsibilities and uphold the integrity of the State Service Examination. By rescheduling the exam dates, the commission aims to minimise potential conflicts and provide candidates with a conducive environment for taking the test.

From a different perspective, the decision to revise the State Service Exam dates reflects the commitment of the MPPSC to showcase transparency, fairness, and efficiency in its examination process. Candidates aspiring to appear for the MPPSC State Service Examination are advised to stay updated with the revised exam schedule and prepare accordingly to optimise their chances of success in the examination.

Earlier this month, the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) also released a notification stating that the prelims exam has been rescheduled to June 16, 2024. Apart from this, other major exams such as Study Webs of Active Learning for Young Aspiring Minds (SWAYAM), NEET PG, ICAI CA Foundation, Intermediate, and Final exams have also been rescheduled following the announcement by the Election Commission.

About MPPSC

MPPSC State Service Exam is conducted to recruit candidates for various administrative positions within Madhya Pradesh’s State Government. This exam is conducted annually or biennially based on the requirements of the MP Government. The process of the exam has multiple stages, including the preliminary exam, main exam, and interview (personality test). The selection process, no doubt, is rigorous and competitive.

For 2024, the registration window is open from March 21, 2024, to April 20, 2024. Interested candidates can register online. The admit card of MPPSC Preliminary Exam 2024 will be available from June 12, 2024. MPPSC preliminary exam admit card is an important document that should be downloaded by all registered candidates.

Those candidates who are registering for the exam should keep in mind that the Madhya Pradesh Public Service Commission has revised the syllabus this year under which more emphasis is on the study of tribal society. As per the paper pattern, the exam will have two papers, paper 1 and paper 2, each having 100 questions. The exam duration will be four hours divided into two hours for each paper.
