Gujiya: From small households to big fortunes, no Holi celebration is complete without this sweet, arch-shaped dish. Gujiya is one of those dishes that is made during the Holi festival. It is made with a delicious mixture of khoya (milk solids), dry fruits, and grated coconut. Some people prefer to flavor it with the essence of cardamom and saffron. Once made, it is then deep-fried till it is golden and then dipped in sugar syrup. This makes each bite of Gujiya a heavenly delight.

Thandai: Another item on the list of traditional foods during Holi festivities is a refreshing glass of Thandai. This drink can be enjoyed during Holi day or in the evening in a get-together with loved ones. It is a blend of milk, nuts (such as almonds, cashews, and pistachios), spices as per taste (including saffron, cardamom, and black pepper), and a touch of rose water (if required). It is believed that it cools the body and adds a flavorful punch to the celebrations.

Pakoras: Crispy irresistible Pakoras are a favorite snack during Holi for all family members be it a kids or adults. This dish is deep-fried and can be made with various ingredients such as potatoes, onions, spinach, or paneer (Indian cottage cheese) as per choices of family members.
