The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has released a notification inviting applications for the position of Nursing Officer. Eligible and interested candidates can apply for these coveted posts through the official UPSC website: upsconline.nic.in, starting from March 7, 2024.

This recruitment drive by UPSC provides a valuable opportunity for nursing professionals to join the prestigious ranks of the commission. The Nursing Officer positions are crucial for ensuring the efficient functioning of healthcare services, and UPSC is seeking qualified and dedicated individuals to contribute to this essential sector.

The last date for applying is March 27, 2024. According to the advertisement of the Commission, recruitment is to be done for 1930 posts of Nursing Officer in ESIC . Of these, 892 posts are unreserved, while 193 are reserved for EWS, 446 OBC, 235 SC, and 164 ST category candidates.

On getting appointed, you will be posted in the hospitals of Employees State Insurance Corporation, Ministry of Labour and Employment.

Who can apply for Nursing Officer Posts?
Those having a B.Sc in Nursing or a Post Basic B.Sc in Nursing degree with a minimum of 60% can apply for the posts of Nursing Officers. You will also need to be registered under the respective state or Central Nursing Council.

How to apply for UPSC Nursing Officer Posts?
The application process for UPSC Nursing has not begun yet. Once UPSC opens the application window, you will be able to apply through the steps explained below:

Step 1: Visit the official website of UPSC i.e; upsconline.nic.in

Step 2: In the links listed below, find the link ‘Online Recruitment Application for Various Recruitment Posts’
Step 3: A list of all the vacant posts and their application link will appear

Step 4: Click on the link mentioning Nursing Officer
Step 5: The UPSC Registration Window will open
Step 6: Register yourself with necessary details
Step 7: Now, Fill the application form
Step 8: Pay the application fees and submit

It is advised to keep your registration details in physical copy for future use.

UPSC will update the detailed recruitment process and dates once the registration begins. The  1930 posts will fill up the vacancies in the various hospitals under the ESIC. Nursing practitioners with a B.Sc Degree in Nursing or a Post Basic B.Sc in Nursing can apply for the posts.
